This guy scammed women for naked photographs and was convicted and people are torn on whether he should be posting here? One of those things does not line up with others.

I hate to break it to, but *anyone* who chooses to post on an internet message board, including me and you, is f/cking weird. I'll take this place all day long, though, over just about any other board on this site, when it comes to common courtesy, sanity, and sense of community. We no doubt have our quirks, and fair share of arguments, but it's about the most even-keeled of the high-trafficked boards on the site, relatively speaking.

FWIW, I don't really know whether TexAgs should ban this guy - I think they should. I also really don't care how cordial or friendly he was on this board. He's a pedophile and should be treated as such. We all make mistakes, blah blah blah. We all don't manipulate underage girls into sending nudes. I'm familiar with all the twists and turns, and have followed the various threads since at least the first half of the various Page 1's.

The issue wasn't what he had done 10 years ago.

The issue was what he had done in the last year and why TA mods were allowing him to keep on doing it (even though they were fully aware of the situation).

And what is it he did in the last year? I haven't heard anyone speak to that, other than the phishing rumor. Is there proof he did that? Or is there something else? I'm legit curious.

The last year was testy with Sully, BLM, election, etc. There were heated arguments but they should stay on message boards. FBF took it a step further

He used the personal information he gained from his contests on EB to dox/harrass other posters IRL. One of my friends emailed Brandon about it with information posted today and more. As he told me "I can't prove that's why I got a call from HR, but the timing is very suspicious"

Nothing was done and FBF had free reign to keep collecting people's personal information.

Took it too far by going for the wife a an A&M athletics employee and almost got the football player kicked off the team. It's in the same universe as You on Netflix...or maybe Black Mirror

If true, that's SUPER f/cked up. On so many fronts. Especially considering the fact that I remember Muck complaining about F16ers trying to dox him. There are other posters who have complained that certain F16ers have tried to get people fired in much the same way - by calling HR departments or the schools where posters worked, etc. And if Muck did the same against them, in retaliation or whatever, that's obviously just as sick and twisted, especially having used the contest brackets to do so.

If TexAgs was aware, and did nothing, I don't know if I can keep giving money to this site, or continue posting here. I don't know if that it's 2 or 3 people but rather the impersonality of the internet has empowered to view others as names on a screen instead of actual humans and as a result we no longer treat people like we would in person 30 years ago.

The way I see it, every one on here is going to have to evaluate the quality of Fat Bib's posts and decide for themselves if they rise to the quality of Thriller or Billie Jean. If yes, then keep reading his stuff. If not, just put him on your ignore list.

For me, I only really know him from his Joey Gallo thread on the MLB forum. It's a great thread, but I don't know if it's Thriller. More like Ignition (Remix), which is probably the toughest place to be. Its really good, but I don't know if it's good enough to look past pedophilia. It would be so much easier if his posts were more along the lines of "Rock and Roll (Part 1).". I have no second thoughts about cutting that out of my life.

This place is still pretty tame compared to a lot of other popular corners of the internet today. The only difference with Texags, and probably other collegiate-based message boards, is that a lot of users used to know each other IRL and used to be a lot more relaxed about their real life identities or privacy on here.

So if someone wanted to make it weird, it wasn't that hard for them to find out who other users were. Even the thing about the calling of area schools sprang from a stupid spat over internet "friendships," and the identities of the people involved weren't really secret. So yea, there have been a couple weird things here and there over the years that changed how trusting and open users here are. But I agree, it's still a pretty small number of psychos from a very large group of current and former students.

As I've probably said before, A&M is a really big school, with all kinds of personalities just like any other large sample of the population. Not everyone is a "good Ag" just because they went to the same big school and root for the same sports teams.

Even creeps should be allowed access to the internet

If he is banned from TA, he will likely start posting on Mandalorian message boards, where he'd be truly anonymous and have more leeway to cause problems

My personal objections is that the poster who has a long history of taking advantage of people's personal information is in the position to collect many poster's personal information while they are ignorant of his history.
