Was really hoping to see some of the characters from the animated series Buzz Lightyear of Star Command make an appearance in the trailer. Mira Nova or Booster.

Anyways it looks really awesome!

tim Allen has long been known as a conservative in Hollywood so I honestly doubt that.

After making that post with the direction they're going with this film it actually makes sense. This is a movie within the toy story universe and not the actual buzz light year we know from those 4 films….so having the same voice actor would sort of screw up separating from that.

It would actually be a great joke if they work it in somehow when the buzz lightyear toy comes out in the toy story universe and a kid makes a comment about the voice not sounding the same.

How many times have we played with action figures or video games where the voice we heard was not the same as the original character it's portraying? A lot.

Is it? Because that doesn't really make sense. He has all sorts of tech in the trailer that doesn't exist in the real world and didn't exist (presumably) in the world Andy lived in when he first received a Buzz Lightyear in 1995. Seems more likely that this is a movie that exists in the Toy Story universe that Andy and his family could've watched in a theater. So a Buzz toy would be akin to an Ironman toy for us: based on a fictitious character with fantastical tech.

So I do see why it could be hard to understand.
