Eastbound and Down was hilarious for season 1, pretty good for season 2, and then downright awful for 3 and 4.

VP was really good for 2 seasons but lacked the larger scope to go beyond a 2-season run so i'm glad it ended there.

Gemstones is much more broad and they can explore a ton of different angles if they want for probably 5 seasons.

Vice Principals started as a movie idea. Once McBride got in there and started writing, he ended up pitching it as a limited two season series.

Gotta say, while I'm sure they will go back to sniping at each other, it was nice to see the kids put the knives down for a bit. Loved this episode.

Great seeing Amber go for the power move once she got a little taste of it, and Jesse dropping back into appreciating the strain of what Eli's job entails, and being proud to see Gideon getting the worthwhile attention.

Was surprised to hear Eli say he can get Junior's money back; they definitely implied in the flashback episode that he had taken the dad's money and turned it into the mega-church once he was dead.

I'm assuming the fictional Osteens will somehow let it slip up that they were behind the Cycle Ninjas, or maybe one of them will fart while serving drinks at the beach party and Martin will smell it and ID him.

While it definitely played for laughs,t here was a lot of truth in Harmon requesting to punch Baby Billy as hard as he could in the face. My wife's mom abducted her and left the country when she was very small, and when her dad finally got her back, her mom said and did some terrible things, then disappeared entirely. At some point my wife went from wanting to know the answers to the mindset of "if she ever shows up, I will punch her in the face."

I assume the dead reporter had dirt on Eric Andre/Joel Olsteen and it will come out when its revealed they are behind the motorcycle ninjas

I liked the whole rollercoaster scene, but I especially enjoyed the little details of the show like these:

I was thinking as I was watching this episode that the actors and writers have really found the characters now, what they're good at and who they are. This show could legit go on for years if everyone wanted it to.

You can tell they're starting to hit their sweet spot. The tree thing is a perfect example. Of course she was in a tree.

Why would she get on the bus knowing it was going to "breakdown" and get shot up by the motorcycle gang? I guess it's not clear, but I'm under the impression the bus ride setup for Eli was all part of the motorcycle gang's plot.
