Have 2 extra tickets to the Puscifer show in Houston tonight @ 713 Music Hall if anyone is interested. Floor seats in section 103, row R, seats 3-4 (2 off inside aisle). Can't wait, just had friends drop out so needing to sell the extra 2 I have. PM me if interested, will make you a deal for sure.
Damn. Wish I had seen this. I'd have taken them off your hands for sure. How was the show? Saw Tool in Vegas this year but never seen Puscifer. Only been to that place once for Billy Strings back in April and thought it was a great venue.

That reminds me I totally forgot to post about Billy at Stubb's and OKC two weeks ago. Will have to get to that shortly because it was freaking mind blowing.

Floor seats for Iron Maiden at the Greensboro Coliseum last night. Opener was a Dutch symphonic metal band, Within Temptation. They were okay.

Maiden was great, as one would expect. It was my first time seeing them. Played a few from their latest, as well as a lot of the hits. Bruce's voice isn't quite as strong as it used to be, but he's still great and seemed to have inexhaustible energy. Dude went through like six different costumes.

I'm jealous and sorry I missed them in Texas.

They've already got 2023 summer dates in Europe listed. Dude I was chatting with during intermission, who's been to sixty (!) Maiden shows says they typically do summer tours in Europe and the Americas in the fall and winter. If they come to the Carolinas or to Georgia, I'll probably go.

One thing I really liked about the show, apart from the music, was how much fun the band was obviously having. Whether it was Bruce jawing with the audience about this or that, the guys messing around with dude on stilts dressed as Eddie, or even ****ing with each other, they seemed incredibly happy to be at a moderately sized venue in central North Carolina.

I'm glad they are having a good time. I'm a bit younger than those guys and can't imagine how much touring must suck at any age let alone that age.

This isn't The Stones doing one stadium per week or whatever they did. This is a lot more shows.

I saw Blink182 tickets were $350 for floor and decent first level tickets at Toyota Center. Then checked the cheap upper deck for giggles and they were all over $100 each.

Absolutely passed on those. I've seen them several times with the original lineup and once with Matt filling in for Tom. Glad I saw them before....I will not be spending that type of money for them this year.

Futurebirds put on a helluva show last night at Echo Lounge in Dallas. They're playing another one in Fort Worth on Monday, you should go if you like country-rock/Americana/indie stuff. Very underrated band.

Should have gone to see Andrew Bird at the White Oak Music Hall. Amazing band, amazing music, a show like I had never seen before with a fully engaged crowd the whole time. Loved every minute of it!
I regret not going. Would have liked to cross him and Iron & Wine off the list in one show, but I'll do what I have to do to see Bird live eventually.

Looking forward to this one:
10/27 - Futurebirds @ Last Concert Cafe

Will probably see Nikki Lane there the week before as well. Her new album was produced by Josh Homme and sounds like country QOTSA.
Is Illiterate Light playing with Futurebirds at LCC? if so, you definitely should go see them as well, they're great 2-man band. They're playing together in Dallas and i'll be at that one.
They opened. Good stuff. Reminded me of Dr. Dog and another group I can't remember at the moment.

**Now i remember the other group - The Whigs.

Futurebirds were good. The crowd was fratty, but I guess i'm not surprised by that. Last Concert Cafe was probably a small venue for them.

Is the audio getting any better at Moody? Went to a couple shows after they had recently opened and it seemed like the acoustics were just a bit off in the facility.

saw Alan Jackson and George there, the audio was great for those. Last night, though, was a little off. I think part of it was the stage setup. This thing went almost the length of the arena floor. The mix was not good, the lead vocals weren't pronounced enough, IMO. But the PA was up above instead of coming out from a "normal" type stage setup.

Audio for Jimmie Allen was atrocious. I still don't get why they wont let opening acts use all the tools available.

Moody Center pit is the way to go, though, if you can snag a ticket.

Went to see Blackpink last week with my daughter. Although they had obvious backing vocals, the show was entertaining. The dancing was great and the songs very catchy. I was singing them for days afterwards. (I know this is an old person review but I am old!)

My favorite part of the night: They were selling these light-up heart hammers. They sold them for $55.
The batteries were an extra $2.

Basically glow sticks that look like hammers but with hearts where the hammer head would be……..

$55 plus $2 for batteries if you want the privilege to use them during the concert.
And I would say 90% of the sold out AAC had them. And I saw some people buying more than one. Crazy.

I love the battery upcharge. How much do the hammers look they cost to make? I may need to get into the heart shaped hammer business!

I bought tickets to this today. Ended up buying one day passes to Saturday, but I intended to purchase Sunday day passes. In the off chance anyone wants to switch Saturday for Sunday, let me know. I've got an email into the festival to see if I can switch. We'll see.

Wife and I with Living Colour meet and greet last week at the Sands. Fantastic week if you love Gen X era music. I strongly recommend booking for next year as we already did as the early line up with Dee Snyder and Jack Russel's Great White as a cornerstone is a great start.
