I thought the Fezco and Cal scene was great. I also need to remember that Rue will not make good decisions, like all the time.

Enjoyed the episode, but someone may need to have their medication adjusted if it made them cry.

And Fez was initially supposed to die in season 1. Don't think any theories about that death happening this season are way out there.

Joanna Robinson freaks out for anything lgbt related. She's weird

Weird angle they took with the 2 gay wrestling dudes last episode. Obviously that will be another sub plot with one of them knocking up that girl

One of those two was a young Cal - it was an entire flashback/cold open devoted to him - and I'm pretty sure the girl he knocked up is his eventual wife, and that the baby is Nate's older brother. So that's probably the last we'll see of all that.

I wish it would be Rue that dies off instead of Fez (never going to happen). She continues to be the least likable/interesting character as she just continually screws up. Like, we get it, her character is going to relapse every episode…

Ahhh that makes sense. I got a little distracted answering some emails watching last night's episode

Sorry fellas but I totally disagree. I love the artistic look of the show. Everything else you see these days seems to be mostly straight forward when it comes to film style and prioritizes plot over everything. Euphoria flips the script and focuses on the cinematography and pairs it with a fantastic sound track. No other show I know of is doing this right now. I appreciate the originality.
I get it, it's putting less emphasis on plot but you did say WAY too artsy. I just disagree. I love it.TCTTS said:Teddy Perkins said:

I didn't say I didn't like the artistic *look* of the show. I'm on record multiple times in this thread as saying I absolutely love the look, especially since they switched to film for season two. It's some of the best cinematography on TV, and I hope that never changes.
Rather, what I'm taking about is the increasingly dreamy presentation of the narrative, while plot/character development has seemingly taken a back seat. It feels like we're hallucinating *with* Rue now, more so than ever, and its being reflected in certain random vignettes, edits, and the overall meta-ness that the show is leaning into more and more these past few episodes. And again, that stuff wouldn't bother me so much if the plot didn't feel like it's on pause, and so many of the characters didn't feel like they're stuck in the same ruts they've been in for a while now.
That said, again, there's plenty of season left, and I do agree with Tonyperkins that last night's episode was more than likely a purposeful slow burn. It felt intentional to take a beat and not dive into, say, the Rue/suitcase situation just yet, I'm just hoping things finally pick up again in episode five.

Anyone here seen We Are Who We Are?
I've never seen Euphoria but I really enjoyed that show so I'm wondering if it's a similar vibe to that. Not sure if I want to commit to this yet.
Noticed that too when Cal took the photo off the wall.TCTTS said:
Aaron was at the carnival thing last season for the chili cook off. That's the only other time I remember seeing him.
They've also now shown that family photo twice - the one that Cal took off the wall - and there's a third, way younger son in that photo who we've never seen. I wonder if they'll ever address that.
