I saw Taylor in the Tulsa Hardrock bar about 5 years ago. Was going to see GnR that night. We didn't bother him but it was pretty cool. We were about 10 feet away from him.

Dave played with GnR that night and FF played at BOK in Tulsa the next night.

I saw FF a few years ago for the first time. I wasn't a huge fan before the show but I'll never miss another when they are close by.

I don't know why but this one hurts.

RIP Taylor.

Just so hard to believe and a tough pill to swallow. So sad for Taylor's family and the Foos.

He was one of those players who transcended musical genres with his skill and humility. I don't even really like Foo Fighters TBH but I have nothing but the utmost respect for all of the members. Classic musicians with amazing talent and huge hearts.

Huge loss to the world.

Saw them for the first time in '97 at Austin Music Hall. One of their initial tours. Literally feet away from entire band. Taylor and Dave rocked it. Sucks to hear of Taylor's passing.

Dang this one sucks. I've always wanted to go to a Foo concert but it's just never worked out. These guys have been my favorite band for a long time.

Eff what terrible news to wake up too. You couldn't not like the Foo Fighters even if you didn't like the music. They're love of music and the fans was always so great to see.

For sure. Could be an end of an era. Could easily see Dave packing it in with this terrible news, much like Nirvana. At least shutting down the Foos and doing something altogether different.

I just finished his book and him and Taylor were literally like brothers. Inseparable.

Will be interesting to see cause of death. Yes drugs wouldn't be a shock but what if it's a non drug related death like blood clots or something similar to what happened to Bob Saget. You know to be on tour they all had to be vaxxed. Who knows but will be curious to hear final autopsy results.

This celebrity death actually hit me pretty hard. Some of my first real memories of Rock Music were the Foo Fighters. I think 'This Is A Call' came out when I was around 5 or 6 and I was hooked. 'Learn To Fly' has been a special song to me throughout my life.

Been a huge FF fan since I was a kid and a big Nirvana fan before that. Saw the Foos play at Dos Equis a few years ago and it's still one of my all time favorite concerts. Couldn't wait to see them again. This one is hard to swallow.

Saw this before bed last night, ugh. One of my favorite bands and he was so insanely talented.

Saw them here in Austin a few years ago and he came out and sang the Bowie part of Under Pressure with their opening act…SO good.

Saw someone on twitter say he complained of chest pains that day but don't know how legit that is.

That was a great show. Slightly over 3 hours straight. No breaks. Just 3 plus hours of rock.

I meant to post Dave on the other celebrity death thread but since I didn't this is it. The Foos, too me, are totally without any pretention and Taylor seemed like a great dude. Like someone else said, I don't want to jump straight to drugs, there could be many other reasons. Hell Dave has had scares due to his massive coffee consumption. This sucks for his family and the band.
