So glad I saw them in Houston a few years ago. I hope they find a way to recuperate but it won't be the same without Taylor.

I'll probably be the unpopular opinion here but Taylor Hawkins passing doesn't really make me feel sad.
I'm far more devastated by the passing of Australian Cricket legend Shane Warne two weeks ago.
Both of these guys were 50-ish (my age) and certainly vaxxed. I expect we'll see more of this.
I met Taylor Hawkins in Osaka, Japan in 2006.
He had just come off stage playing his set with The Coattail Riders.
He was pretty tripped out and I assumed he was kind of out of it due to heat exhaustion. It was really hot that day. Funny thing is the next day at Fuji Speedway (in the video), it was cold, foggy and a little rainy.
After talking with Taylor Hawkins, a few minutes later, I had lunch with Sully Erna of Godsmack. Sully was much more interesting to talk to although both were relatively basic.
That night, Taylor's drum tech, a big dude named "Yeti" tried to pick a fight with me in a bar called "Rock Rock" where all the musicians were hanging out. It was so strange. Taylor Hawkins seemed OK but his drum tech was a dick.
Flying back to the US after the Fuji Speedway show, I got to have a long chat with Sean Kinney, the drummer for Alice in Chains. Now that was an interesting guy to talk to.
LMAO. After reading this post, I'd certainly like to hear Yeti's side of the story.HollywoodBQ said:

Yep! I was talking about Taylor driving the sound live. Thanks for the commentary!HollywoodBQ said:You know Dave Grohl wrote and played the Foo Fighters entire first album by himself, right?JB!98 said:
Let's not turn this into a pissing contest. The Foo Fighters are one of the last rock bands left and they bring a palpable energy to their concerts. Damn tough to lose Taylor as he really drives the music.

"The city's Emergency and Emergency Regulatory Center received a report about a patient with chest pain in a hotel located north of the city. An ambulance was dispatched to attend to the case," the press release, translated in English, states.
It goes on to say a health professional attended to Hawkins and performed "resuscitation maneuvers."
"However, there was no response and the patient was declared deceased," the release adds.

All of those are things somebody with anxiety, depression and pain could realistically have in their system with prescriptions (minus THC I guess). Don't know one way or the other, but just wanted to add that.
