We watched this the other day. It has its moments. I feel like it is graded too harshly. I think it's something like an 8 or Rotten Tomatoes. But it's better than a lot of the Hallmark and Netflix Christmas movies.

Well then watch Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang if you would like another Christmas movie with some action. It is also funnier than A Christmas Vacation.

I've never seen elf, bad Santa, wonderful life, nightmare before Christmas, or miracle on 34th.

I first heard of Christmas Vacation from Texags when I was in college. I was vaguely aware of the National Lampon Vacation series, but hadn't seen a whole one and didn't know there was a Christmas one. I was 2 when it came out.

My favorite Christmas movies of all time are..
Die Hard (even though people debate it),
The Nightmare before Christmas (as I also love Halloween),
and Home Alone 1 and 2.

Agreed. It's not blow you away stuff but I found it to be an enjoyable flick and was shocked to see its RT/IMDb rating.

And I know I'll get roasted, but I think Christmas Story is completely overrated. It's fine. But it's not a top 5 Christmas movie.
