I didn't realize the TexAgs entertainment board had that much power.Sponge said:
If y'all keep running out to see bad reboots then Hollywood will keep making them.

I've seen previews on TV.
Several of the preview scenes reminded me of scenes from other Indiana movies. It's as if they took prior memorable scenes, tweaked them and used them in the current movie.

My main issue with the movie was the end felt a little too neat. Indy gets punched and suddenly it cuts to him at home and Marion is back. Felt way too abrupt.
Also felt like it was missing one more big setpiece. Did we ever see Indy use the whip outside of the auction room? I wish there was a little more of Indy doing Indy stuff.
Still really enjoyed it overall. It felt like an Indy movie to me whereas Crystal Skull at times did not.

AI to make 75 year old Harrison Ford look 40 again. because we need more computers changing around reality and make believe for fake social media
CGI in every single scene- Ford jumping out of a burning German Heinkel 110. okay- that's realistic.
Nazis in the USA being a huge problem in 1969 where the bad white guy insults a black waiter, because we need more race baiting movies.
pass

… it's an Indiana Jones movie. Nazis are kind of a thing in Indiana Jones movies. I'm not sure why a Nazi being a Nazi would trigger you.

Ok, I was wrong. The movie was fun though I wasn't a huge fan of the lead actress. Still though, I went in with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The opening train scene was quite fun and the macguffin was really good. So the time fissure only leads back to Archimedean times? Just a one way in and one way out and the fissure is only open for a short window? I didn't quite get that part. It was a distress signal?
That's because the Mads character and his followers though they were going back to 1939, where they would easily fit in with their plane and uniforms.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:
I must have missed something, but exactly why was there a heavily modified Heinkel He-111 bomber in full Nazi livery, including the death head emblem many of those aircraft sported, sitting in a hangar ready to go in 1969? And apparently with a Nazi flight crew and armed with machine guns?

I get that. What I am saying is that any He-111 in 1969 would not have been armed to fly into a war (operable guns with ammo belts).DB Coach said:That's because the Mads character and his followers though they were going back to 1939, where they would easily fit in with their plane and uniforms.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:

Agreed on suspending reality. And I will say that I didn't let that affect my opinion of the movie. This was the most fun I have had at the movies in some time.80s Guy said:Cinco Ranch Aggie said:I get that. While in normal times, yes. You have to suspend reality to think that somehow they are working in the shadows and are equipping it in a hidden situation
My wife and I enjoyed it. Could it have been better? Of course.
The throwbacks were well done, especially the ending. My opinion is they are setting up a new franchise with Helena (Phoebe) as the lead with her sidekick Teddy (Ethann).
