Geez, f***ing PUKE. Can you imagine a white protagonist in a movie saying that about black people, jews, muslims, hispanics etc??? Also, it's a hilariously rich statement...I won't go into why it is rich on this forum...but I think most people can take a guess.

The conspiracy theorist inside of me took that a step further...is Obama pulling the strings on something like this happening and this movie is his bold way of saying, "Bend over, America! I'm coming for you!"

That likely isn't the case, but at this point nothing really surprises me anymore.

The movie was horrible. I kept watching just because I wanted to see who was behind it and how it ended, but that never came.

Just finished it. Can I get those two hours back? I feel like I just watched an extended episode of a cheap Chinese knockoff of Black Mirror. It tried way too hard to be suspenseful and preachy, and it failed miserably.

The Tesla pileup was particularly dumb.

Also the prepper Kevin Bacon

Stands on his porch with a loaded shotgun trying to get people to leave. But then doesn't chamber a round until someone pulls a gun on him. Outdoor board would be all over that, but I guess Hollywood is gonna Hollywood. I saw that coming as soon as the seen started.

Seems like a huge coincidence that Tesla recalls millions of vehicles due to autopilot crashes shortly after this movie is released. LOL

I have about 30 minutes left to watch of this movie. It's really dragging at this point, but I'll finish it.

Oh, c'mon, no one else was impressed with Ethan Hawke saying "I am a useless father and a useless man" (paraphrasing) I'm sure the Obamas wrote that dialog themselves.

What ending? It just stopped.

I thought I couldn't stand Julia Robert's character and then that bratty racist kid came in and stole her thunder. She was such a beat down I had to turn it off. And that was before her ignorant blatantly racist remarks against all white people. The Obamas just suck. Horrible racist divisive people.

It was pretty subtle and highly dependent on the viewer's perspective.

Julia Roberts is renting a house on Long Island, and in the middle of the night a black man in a tuxedo knocks on the door and says they are staying in his house. She immediately doesn't trust the black guy

1. Julia Roberts' character is already set up as a btchy Karen. If I am white male I see the situation is these people are strangers. Why should I trust them. (Disclaimer, I am a white guy)

2. If I am a black viewer, it is possible I may have been conditioned to assume Julia Roberts doesn't trust him because she is a white woman, he is black, so she is just being a racist. (Disclaimer, I don't know how black viewers interpreted any of this).


The only true overt racist comment in the whole movie was the one from the black daughter.

This movie was bad, but I think the opinion that the Obamas were trying to make some sort of social statement about white people being racists is a probably blown out of proportion. I don't care for them, but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise

Nah, just a poorly written film. Kind of like the prepper that spent his life accumulating supplies to survive an apocalyptic scenario only to trade some of those critical supplies once **** really starts hitting the fan. That guy would barely believe in cash in a normal world, and now he's stacking a thousand in a doomsday scenario?

This movie had a lot of cheese, but damn some of you get hurt so easily lmfao
