It was all for show at the beginning. Relatives in Brownsville said it's back to normal there. No news about anything going on. If anything the news has moved on.

Agreed it's been relatively quiet on deportations the past several days.. Hopefully the news has just moved on to other things and deportations are still ramping up. Tom don't mess around so I'm confident they are.

I expect we'll see this quick waning of coverage on many issues. Trump is moving too fast in too many directions. As much as most of would love continuous updates on all the ongoing topics, the coverage is going to follow whatever is hot at the moment.

Considering how much planning must have gone into what we are seeing now, I almost am ready to believe mean tweets was just a conditioning exercise to get the MSM to lose focus on real issues and follow whatever shiny object Trump throws at them. It's probably all coincidence but he certainly knows how to control hostile opposition media like no other. He IS the troll master GOAT in this regard.

I was at an education conference last week in ATX. Heard this comment from a staff member at an Austin ISD school.

Now, she wasn't happy about it but those students not being there is a positive for the school. Other than losing ADA money. Our tax dollars shouldn't pay for non citizens education. Losing 20% of your student base benefits the remaining 80%.

In Texas, funding for schools is directly tied to the number of students in attendance. Not enrolled, the number of students that show up for class.

So, in the medium term at least, you are incorrect.

The IRS does have special agents that are LEOs. They carry government issued guns. The special agents based out of Waco and Houston used to recruit MBAs at Mays in the early 2000's. Not sure if they still do.

In their normal career, they follow the money of criminals, and confiscate the car or house that your local drug kingpin bought his mom with drug or blood money.

I could see them being really helpful in tracing the money of drug lords to identify other illegals involved in drug trafficking, and making arrests.

Not sure if that is what is going on, but the above is far from outlandish, and would be good use of taxpayer money.

Yes, you are correct. Which is just another reason the schools let anyone enroll. More kids means more money for the filthy administrators to waste.
