Still amazing to me is all it took was the will to do it. Republicans and dems have said for years there was little they could do and just tried to manage it. All it took was just to not allow the border to be overrun and to deport people who are here illegally.

Just a FYI, EverPeak isn't the same as Hilton.

Hilton's President & CEO is Christopher Nassetta. Jonathan D. Gray is chairman of the board.

I'm guessing EverPeak operates some Hilton branded hotels.

If they are the entity blocking ICE employees from reserving rooms, it is no surprise given those names.

If I'm a hotel and I knew one of my tenants came with protestors, violence and property damage, I'd think twice about booking them too. Even if it's not their fault.

That rationale doesn't hold up well if you changed the scenario to a hotel in Mississippi in the 1950s refusing to take black customers because they didn't want to deal with the local white racists protesting outside.

The proper response would be arrests and lawsuits against the protesters, not banning agencies.

How about I shot a ****ing moron in the face who (1) attempted to use her vehicle to block law enforcement from performing their official duty, and then (2) attempted to flee when told to get out of the car by accelerating forward in that vehicle with an ARMED law enforcement officer standing in front of said vehicle.

Getting shot in the face was the "prize" for the insanely dangerous, and stupid, game she played.

I'd need a better angle to determine the extent of danger the officer was in that was most forward. I can't tell if they were in front of the vehicle or to the side.

Regardless, that's a stupid decision by the driver.

It's truly amazing how many people do the exact opposite of what they're being told to them by an officer with a gun or taser pointed at them. When I had work crews, I'd see new people do exactly what I told them not to more than a few times. It's like a brain short, What's said is "don't pull those right there", what's heard is "pull those right there". It's crazy but usually the guys that get nervous when spoken directly to.
