So, assuming this is legit (which it probably is):
-Boelter wrote a letter to a Trump administration appointee (Kash Patel), apparently viewing him as a potentially honest person in government
-His core claim is that an evil Democrat, Tim Walz, wanted him to murder a US Senator for his own nefarious political ends, but he wanted 'nothing to do with it'
-He expressed no sympathy or alignment with the "No Kings" protests, whose fliers several posters here viewed as ?evidence of Boelter's status as a progressive/Democrat
-It is still not particularly clear why he chose to shoot the people that he did, but there is no evidence that it was related to any particular political stance on benefits for illegal immigrants, or abortion
I conclude that Boelter was, as his friend suggested, personally a supporter of right wing politics and the Trump admin, but his violent actions appear related to mental illness, not political ideology.
