Uh the fire is actually when Trump told his base that all these files did not exist, were a democrat hoax, and he didn't want your support if you wanted answers. Another fire was Bondi saying there is nothing in them when now we know that there are multiple co-conspirators in them. So we conclusively have the Trump admin trying to commit a coverup (and still trying) and also lying to the people. Yeah, I know we all want a "fire" which absolutely blames "the democrats". But this is what we conclusively have right now.

This can not be argued.

Actively complying with is not ignoring.

Have files been released? Okay, then they are not ignoring.

You can say they have not fully complied, timely complied, etc.

But it is an absolute lie to say they are ignoring. They are ignoring it about as effectively as your promise to ignore me.

"Hey Mr IRS man i'm paying my taxes $1 at a time I'm complying even though I'm technically 4 months late"

The length of the leash you are willing to give Incompetent DC bureaucrats is amazing lol

There are fines for not paying your taxes on time. Its written into the code. Next time you want to make a poor comparison, know your facts.

Why did Ro/Massie forget the important part?

BTW - Massie is getting destroyed on The Five. By all five.

Sure seems like a punishment to me. Also I'm not one of you tabloiders so I could not care less about what some washed up talking heads on Fox think about Massie lol

We know, you only care about what Reddit tells you.

How is it punishment? It will never get a vote in the house. And no judge will issue the contempt. None. Because the DOJ is actively complying.

"Actively complying" just means "is not in compliance", this is the silliest hill to die on and you're getting ratio'd every time you try to cope post with it. They are breaking the law regardless of whether or not you think there is an explicit "punishment".

Who's dying on the hill? It's how the legal process works. Sorry you think it works how Ro and Massie pretend it does with their contempt and impeachment talks.

And who is getting ratioed? The same 13 to 15 people come along and star the same old tired posts. To be fair, most have indeed moved on until there is something new of substance.

Meanwhile it's your personal Twitter outhouse.

There is no doubt that Trump's attitude towards Epstein has changed…the question of "why" remains.

The appeal of Trump is that he is an outsider that has enough money to not be corrupted and has come out clean on every "investigation " ran on him

So why has he changed his mind about Epstein?

To me it indicates that he has been compromised…I don't think it is anything to do with the sexual deviancy…I think it has to do with Epstein's involvement with the intelligence community(CIA, Mossad, MI6). Specifically, I think Epstein's involvement with the intelligence community includes financial shenanigans with crypto currency.

we have more than enough evidence from the last 10 years to dispense with this fiction now. he may have been an outsider to the DC bureaucrat class, but he's very much an insider to the epstein class that actually pulls everyone's strings.

The much much simpler, straight-forward answer is that they opened the big steaming pile of dog doodoo known as the "Epstein files" and after the 30,000th poor written and syntaxxed email from jeevacations asking how Trump wants to serve the Pickled Pediatric Podiatry Passarounds at their next fling on Epstein Island, the decision was made to "move on".

If that is indeed the determination, they have handled it absolutely disastrously. If you were going to cover it up and sweep it away and you had 100% control of the files, you would not have done it this way.

This was a failed execution of "there is nothing useful here, it's a mess, let's move on" strategy. Hugely failed.

That doesn't mean there is NOTHING in the Epstein files and that all allegations were a hoax. It means there are simply not the gigantic grand conspiracy laden bombs that folks thought there would be.

If me being wrong brings justice to the actual victims of Epstein and related crimes, I am perfectly fine with being wrong.

Biden had 4 years to release this stuff. Why didn't the DOJ do its job?

Why do people keep parroting this every few pages?

They are all corrupt.

But obviously there is a heightened level of intrigue under the Trump admin because:
- Trump talked about releasing it on the campaign trail.
- His son clamored for the release of the files in 2024.
- JD Vance discussed it multiple times after being named the VP nominee and said that they should be released.
- Kash Patel fueled conspiracies on his podcast.
- Dan Bongino fueled conspiracies on his podcast.
- Pam Bondi said that she had a list of names on her desk.
- Then on top of all of that, the massive flip-flopping in rhetoric by the administration over the course of the last year.

If Biden's administration had conducted themselves similarly, there would have been far more public pressure back then. Then, on top of that, people who have supported Trump (like myself) likely had far more faith in the Trump admin to be transparent than the Biden admin and are obviously letdown and outspoken about it.

Can't speak to that, because I am not on the left.

But I'd assume that it largely has to do with political opportunism and the Trump admin propping the issue up to a much greater degree, making it a larger part of the public conversation.

Well stated and this is my position as well. Bondi's balk has made everything 10x worse. She's either wholly incompetent or there was a last minute change in the political calculation of releasing everything.
