Im also curious as to what specifically was anti-American by his performance?
It was filthy. Had it been in English, the network would be in big trouble as the language certainly violated FCC rules.
So what exactly was said that was anti American.
Please clarify.
Are you talking about "USA" American, or "the Americas" American... as in every country on the continent?
Maybe nothing specifically said, (don't speak Spanish so I wouldn't know), but the imagery I saw was much less pro USA, and much more pro latin American countries, all the while taking advantage of the 'God bless America' theme.
Not "anti-American" as is were, but for a Superbowl in the 250th anniversary of our country's founding, the USA definitely was NOT the focus of his presentation.
Note that the only "Latin America" part was the flag parade at the end.
Everything else in the performance was focused on Puerto Rico (and a brief bit of New York).
For the 250th Anniversary of the USA should we have had a much more Red, White and Blue, USA, USA, USA pep rally theme? Yes, we should have.
But... for whatever reason, the NFL turned everything over to Jay Z back in 2019. I have no idea how many more years that deal lasts.
