It would be cold blooded though if they had Metallica...
You saved the best idea for the last. I'm on board.
In all seriousness, Metallica would be perfect. I took my son to the show at NRG this summer and the old boys killed it. And frankly, I was a bit surprised (pleasantly of course) as to how popular Metallica is latinos because they made up half the crowd easily.
The other thing is that Hetfield's message, which he threw out several times during the show, was incredibly positive and uniting.
Serious question, was this the first time you've seen Metallica?
I've seen them in 1994, 1997, 2015 and I was at the NRG show this year.
Mexicans (Latinos) have always been a large part of the crowd.
Related story - when I was at the 2015 "Rock in Rio" show in Vegas, we were waiting in line to get in and this attractive 50 y/o Mexican-American lady was in line near me. Mini-skirt, High-heel boots, torn black Metallica shirt, big hoop earrings, poofed out hair, the whole deal.
People started talking about when was the last time they had seen Metallica. At that point, it was almost 20 years for me and a lot of people were impressed when I said - 1997.
Then she comes over the top and says - 1984. Everybody was stunned including me as she went on to tell everybody about seeing them in a club in San Francisco way back when. And people say that nobody listens to women (LOL). Everybody was listening to her tell every detail about the 1984 Metallica show.
So yeah, not surprising at all. Especially with Rob Trujillo is in the band.
Conversely, Megadeth doesn't draw near the % of Latino/a/x as Metallica. And that's been true for the past (almost) 30 years that I've been seeing both Megadeth and Metallica.
