Dude, that guy has an American nazi flag as a meme. It's a joke. It's next to a picture of an astronaut looking at the earth and the entire landmass is Ohio. There's a map of North America labeled "Lower Ohio, Upper Ohio, and Soon To Be Ohio."

The pearl clutching is freaking ridiculous.

What a hilarious joke! Maybe he'll have a photo of Stalin, Mao, Ted Bundy, etc next.

If it pissed you off it would be the funniest thing I've seen all day.

Jokes are subjective. I have a pretty dark sense of humor because of my occupation choices.

I love watching Anthony Jeselnik. My wife hates his comedy. He loves a good nazi joke.

the fringe right doesn't hold views that the nazis did. that's the whole point. that dude trolled you with a flag and you fell all over yourself to condemn it, which is the entire joke.

that flag, the stupid jokes in those texts, were not the same thing as calls for violence. which is exactly the point JD Vance and others have made.

Which was the entire point. If a Republican said what Jones said I would hope we would force him out the way the dems should have. It's ok to want to be better than the left. Calling out our own when they do dumb things doesn't mean that we are "allying with the left". It all just becomes a stupid pointless distraction from actually advancing conservative values.

canceling someone for a joke you don't like isn't conservative or republican.

I'm sure you'd love for that to happen, but it's incompatible with being right wing to wish death on your peaceful political enemies. Only people distracted by it have the intelligence and attention span of a Labrador retriever.

1. No one has any idea if it's a joke or not. 2. The real world has consequences for saying stupid things (even jokes). Getting fired is one of them. If that happened in the private sector he'd likely be facing similar consequences.

1) you said it proved that he was literally a nazi, then you took that back and acknowledged that was a stupid thing to say, but now you're back on literally hitler. pick a lane

2) are you now arguing that the consequences for that joke should be him being fired? because i return to my point: cancelling someone for a joke you don't like isn't conservative or republican. you are acting like a feminized liberal. you don't have to live life like this.

His boss can decide if it's fireable or not, doesn't really impact my life one way or another. But most companies wouldn't tolerate that. And then I'm sure he'd blame everyone else for the problems his own dumbass created.

What could happen is his boss has to fire him if he wants the AIPAC support or doesn't want AIPAC to back his next primary candidate.

Then actually "the Jews" just screwed this kid over and, for him, it goes from a joke to actually being a nazi because Jews can't take a joke.

the beautiful thing about this is it is a teachable moment.

much like those tweets, which say mean things that might offend some people who were not in the conversation if they were in the conversation, that flag is maybe offensive to some people.

that is not violence. that is not actual harm. nobody was hurt. it literally does not matter -at all-. the guy didn't create a problem because there isn't a problem other than a bunch of people pearl clutching and handwringing. won't someone think of the children?

why should he be fired for that? because it offends you? because it might offend some hypothetical person? because the left will say - "see? SEE? you ARE nazis!" they already say that anyway! you agree that they say it anyway!

what is the best possible outcome for a hypothetical leftist when that image is displayed. wouldn't it be that staffer being fired, regardless of whether or not he's a good employee, or effective, or intelligent, or hardworking?

does it give you even a moment's pause that your desired outcome and your political opponent's desired outcome is exactly the same?

if it doesn't impact your life, why do you even care? why are you cheering the guy getting fired? because it makes you feel righteous to police your own. if you're waiting for the left to pat you on the head and give you a cookie for being an affable loser, you're going to be waiting a while. they still want you dead, or at least out of power.

1. I don't really care whether or not an opinion I have may align with someone on the left, I just don't view things purely through a black and white political lens like that. I also have friends, family, and coworkers on both sides and they're all completely normal . We're obviously not going to agree on that and that's fine, it's an interesting discussion either way.

2. I agree it's a teachable moment and not really sure where I've cheered for his firing. More pointing out it's a likely outcome and he has no one to blame but himself. It's not like he just made an honest mistake in an effort whatever his actual job is better. He was either a. trolling or b. he actually holds some of those beliefs. If that happened at our company and we lost business because of it the lesson he'd learn is that there are consequences to things you say and do. In this case the negative consequences are solely PR related, but now that congressman has to waste time answering questions about it. So it'll be up to him if it's worth the headache to keep him on or if he wants to try and coach him through it.
Zobel

there is no other lens to view this through, because it is solely a political issue. it has zero relevance outside of politics. viewing it through business or any other lens would be nonsense.

it doesn't matter what the leftists you know act like - see earlier post on the difference between interacting with people and interacting with populations. the ones you know and are friends with are probably fine people, but you also might be surprised about the things they think were they to be bluntly unvarnished with you. maybe the ones you like wouldn't cheer for you in particular being canceled, or fired, or worse. but they probably wouldn't stand up to stop it, and the median leftist absolutely would cheer.

there's no "lost business" or "headache" if you don't make it one. and there would be even less of a potential if people like you on the right would quite larping as leftists and doing their dirty work for them by acting as if that guy is a literal nazi.

The Great Feminization of the GOP.

Quote:

This cancellation was feminine, the essay argued, because all cancellations are feminine. Cancel culture is simply what women do whenever there are enough of them in a given organization or field.
…
That is because women's conflicts were traditionally within the tribe over scarce resources, to be resolved not by open conflict but by covert competition with rivals, with no clear terminus.

Apparently, Politico was working on a story for a while trying to tie Trump to the guy Wax was trying to take down.

Daily Mail is reporting the White House was trying to pressure Wax into retract the leak last week as word was spreading of the story, and that Wax will face consequences from the administration. Daily Mail also says the beef stems from an event Trump attended in 2024 in which Wax believed Giunta tried to block him from getting a picture with Trump.

I had seen that one of the guys, I think Giunta, was appointed to some major YR position over Wax. Wax was bitter about that, supposedly.

Pretty big if Wax actually suffers consequences from the administration. He has a spot in the State Department and he's a bigger figure than anybody else from the story, so it always seemed like he may skirt responsibility.

Don't. Give. A. *****

The left says just as bad things and are extremely violent. They look to destroy our cities and our American way of life. If given the chance, many of them want us dead. They celebrate the public assassination of an innocent man in front of his family. Nothing they say affects me, anymore.

Young teenage and early 20's men say and do stupid **** all the time. Thank god everything I ever said, throughout my life, isn't printed out and taped to my shirt. I am not obligated to defend anyone's words.

Except they weren't just "teens and early 20s" some where late 20s and into their 30s. At least one was an elected official. At some point it is time to grow up and stop using the "but I'm just a kid" excuse.
So far as the Nazi flag guy goes, it is super simple, don't put Nazi flags on your wall and people won't be inclined to call you a Nazi. I have no clue if he is a Nazi or not, I DO know he obvious makes really dumb decisions.

I don't think so...there are tons of Gen Z dudes who work out, eat right, minimize drinking and smoking and their sentiment is genuine...and many of us were calling it 5+ years ago.

What do you expect when you take ONE GROUP in all of society and declare that anyone and everyone is free to openly demonize them based on race and gender and lament falsely about how they are the root of all of societies ills. Not only that, add that they are openly discriminated against in school admissions and in the job market. Many of them also had several of what are supposed to be the best years of their life, squandered/ruined by liberal tyrants over a cold that posed no threat to them

They have run out of f***s to give and are no longer playing along with your stupid woke games or the dumb rules that say using racial slurs is the most heinous thing you can do and worthy of murder or having your life ruined.

Buckle up...these are not just dorky incels...maybe it started that way, but that's not how it is now and how it is trending. It's become cool and masculine to openly rebel against the tarded system and fruity woke nonsense that you and your godless limp wristed brethren have pushed.

I'll say it...GEN Z MALES (WHITE ONES IN PARTICULAR) BY FAR HAVE THE MOST LEGITIMATE GRIEVANCES OUT OF ANY OTHER DEMOGRAPHIC GROUP SINCE MAYBE THE 1960's. Black men get pampered constantly, while committing many times more murders and violent crimes per capita...and white men get told they are pieces of sh** and to blame for everything and the biggest threat this country faces.
