The irony of OnlyFans success is that absent some viral moment to get you out there, the amount of marketing a girl has to do to build and maintain a following is the same as they'd have in ANY line of sales and marketing work.
I heard an interview several years ago with a former OnlyFans "star"/top earner. Not just the time shooting, editing, and posting content, but the interaction with the fans was constant.
We all know the classic line, the stripper only likes you when you're paying. Well the customer pays mostly for the conversation and interaction or custom content. She said she was making big money, but it was absolutely a full time job and ultimately unsustainable.
Funny thing is today she could use AI to handle the chats with her fans, and probably use AI to put customers name into a video rather than having to reshoot and edit for 5,10,15, or more custom requests.
LOL I had lunch last monday with a former porn star from 2004-2005
(you can see who won the AVNs that year)
she was remarking that she could still pull $10,000 a month if she wanted to do OF and she can hire an assistant to handle the customer interaction.
and yes she is still cute- but 40 years old and looks and dresses like your next door neighbor.
You had lunch with Jenna? Did she get rid of those ridiculous implants?
A friend of mine wanted to know....
Also, who is "Jenna?" Again, I have no idea, my friend, uh, Bob, wants to know.
LOL not her- Jenna was in the industry for MANY years and then converted to Judaism and married an Israeli and has a normal life now.
this one I had lunch with was only active in 2004-2005 but was very popular, also talking about converting to Judaism. met on a jewish dating app.
either the pron stars flame out from drugs/self harm/disease or they turn out pretty good (Candice Horbacz/Eva Lovia has a great podcast about social issues, Penny Flame got a masters degree and works for university in Oregon, the tall brunette from the late 90s married an Italian attorney and lives in Rome)
not all of them are tragic figures- many go on to have very normal lives.
