A storage unit doesn't seem like an easy breach if the guy is still alive and armed. Almost all of them I have seen just have the one overhead door that someone would have to roll up. Wouldn't be easy for someone to stand there exposed and roll up the door high enough for someone to fire gas into the room.

Actually the police has us all fooled - they were on this guy from the beginning with all the leads coming in. I think the federal guys did the hard core work. They did a great job asking to speak with the guy that saw the shooter. He came forward within 1 hour of asking people who he was- amazing outcome for that lead
