One of the Fox News tweets earlier mentioned the lack of cameras... Looks like this building is readily accessible from off campus. As in walking into The Chicken form the sidewalk close. The video I saw the building was directly on the sidewalk along a public (off campus) street.

So i don't think it's related to anything about the turning cameras off for a protest. That doesn't mean they're in the clear with no cameras monitoring the campus perimeter, no cameras on that door, and no locks or access control on that building.

I hope the shooter is caught and It will be interesting to see if there is more evidence of this delay being due in large part to actions and inactions of those at Brown, et al. Seems as if they aided this sort of thing by removing security cameras, if the one suspect turns out to be the shooter and they scrubbed his public information, and it wouldn't surprise me if law enforcement in that part of the world was a player (in addition to being incompetent). Hell, the shooter might be living with the university president until the search ends.

I don't think the FBI has the jurisdiction to take over the case, and I don't see people at Brown asking for help. The extreme left takes a "we'll police our own, thank you very much" stance with regards to law enforcement cooperation.

He did and the reasoning was prioritizing timeliness of information. Sort of the opposite of how Brown and Providence have operated.

Its debatable about whether this is the better way vs waiting. Both have pros and cons.

If/once they find him, often in really high profile cases like this it is a tip from friends or family. Like the Kirk shooting in Utah. Like the Unabomber whose brother recognized his manifesto writing style. People closest to the shooter suspect it is him and turn him in.

So it is ok to announce incorrect stuff as long as it is done in a timely manner? You claim to be a CPA, do you give your clients incorrect financial reports and justify it by saying "at least it was in a timely manner"?
