No, I think Trump was pushing an America first Agenda, as he always has, and people prone to prefer isolationism as a success strategy interpreted Trump through their own biases towards isolationism.

Trump never talked about cutting ourselves off from the rest of the world. He talked about getting fair treatment and fair dealing with the rest of the world and focusing on what is in the best interests of America and putting our own interested first.

Isolationists just presumed that meant isolationism as that is consistent with their own beliefs. Trump has worked internationally his whole life. He understands we csnt ignore the world and pretend it doesn't exist or doesn't affect us, but we can assert ourselves in our own best interest and disregard matters that are not in our interests to get involved with. It just so happens that we benefit immensely from our global superpower and economic status, and Trump is using that to maximum effect at minimum cost to benefit America instead of being always deferentially egalitarian with the rest of the world. Trump knows wars are huge wasters of capital and wealth and there are usually better options, but occasionally our foes require us to put them in their place.

Ted Cruz: '"I came into Congress 13 years ago with the stated intention of being the largest defender of Israel in the United States."

Surely not someone swayed by Israel

So what you're saying is he's been consistent and is not swayed by AIPAC donations. Got it.

Sorry that you can't accept that there are zionists in the world that believe what they believe without the influence of AIPAC money. It's almost like AIPAC is an interest group that donates to those who broadly represent their beliefs and support the existence of the Jewish state if Israel. I know that must be hard to accept without the premise of some dirty Jewish plot or nefarious kompromat.

Believe it or not, you can believe that a strong Israel is an America first policy. It doesn't make you beholden to the whims of a foreign entity.

ETA it's hilarious that some of you are so steeped in conspiratorial hatred that you continually defame one of our most conservative members of congress because he doesn't hate Israel to your liking. Horseshoe theory is alive and well.

Implying he's bought and paid for by Israel is defaming him.

The amount of money Ted Cruz has received from AIPAC and other Jewish and pro-Israel groups and donors is not some hidden mystery. It's publicly available information. It's alot of money

There's zero evidence Cruz takes any of his pro Israel because of AIPAC donations. It's just your opinion. My opinion is that he does it because it's the right thing to do strategically in the region so that we have an ally. You don't get to just keep stating opinions as if they are facts.

From a big picture, cruz accepts pro-Israel money, but it is not dominant, and his positions predate much of those donations (eg, his particular evangelical views on Israel)

Lmao a bunch of groypers in their parents basement will never have any meaningful impact in politics and will never win an election. Plus Fuentes' "base" was already proven to be filled with bots and foreign agents anyways.

Am I not allowed to say a state actor is committing genocide? Can I not say that there was genocide in Rwanda? Are only certain states able to commit genocide?

Of course you can.

But, Israel is not a state actor that is committing genocide. They are a state actor that is eliminating terrorist enemies that are determined to wipe their country from the map.

And it looks like a lot of Fuentes work is astroturfed.

https://networkcontagion.us/wp-content/uploads/America-Last_-How-Fuentess-Coordinated-Raids-and-Foreign-Fake-Speech-Networks-Inflate-His-Influence.pdf

Quote:

- Algorithmic Amplification Far Exceeds Legitimate Reach: Fuentes received dramatically higher early retweet velocity than any comparator, including Elon Musk (the platform's most-followed user). Within the critical first 30 minutes, Fuentes routinely outperformed accounts with 10-100 more followers.

- Early Engagement is Dominated by Repeat Actors: In a sample of 20 recent posts, 61% of Fuentes's first-30-minute retweets came from accounts that retweeted multiple of these 20 posts within that same ultra-short window - behavior highly suggestive of coordination or automation.

- The Amplification Network is Overwhelmingly Anonymous & Ideologically Dedicated: 92% of repeat early-retweeters were fully anonymous (no real name, no real photo, no location, no contact info) and the majority are openly or functionally single-purpose "Groyper" / "America First" accounts whose primary activity is boosting Nick Fuentes and related fringe extremist messaging.

- Foreign-Origin Amplification Dominated Fuentes's Viral Posts: In the months before Charlie Kirk's death, roughly half of the retweets on Fuentes's most-viral posts came from foreign accounts, heavily concentrated in India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Indonesia. These regions have no organic link to Fuentes's politics but do match the known geographic footprint of low-cost engagement farms, making the pattern consistent with bot-farm amplification rather than genuine foreign audiences.

You and the article you quoted do not understand that you can turn on notifications on twitter.

This means if you turn notifications on for someone you follow, you get notified when they post something.

How many of those "1.5 million" were 1. Not in America (given what happened once twitter started sharing locations probably a good chunk), 2. Of voting age?

No one with Fuentes insane views will ever sniff public office or make any policy decisions. He's a sideshow clown performing for clicks, nothing more.
