Because Rocky is considerate unlike many posters on this thread and Texags. Anytime many of us see Sunday Funnies not posted, a thread is started wondering if they are coming and if Rocky is ok. This way he preemptively answered our concerns and gave us his reasons for no longer doing it. I will miss the Sunday Funnies as it was the one highlight each week on Texags but I fully understand and respect his reasoning.

I'm not sorry if he somehow offended some thin skin people on here that took offense to his reasoning.

I would just like it noted that I always star these "Sunday Funnies" threads so this is not my fault. I am a victim here which gives me in fact special privileges! Shame on all of you! Many of us are incapable of following the internet or processing sites for memes so this thread serves an essential service to fellow ags to keep is "hip" with the ecer changing modern world.

Are there really this many people waiting in the wings just ready to pounce on someone who is a regular / nice contributor on texags?

Y'all may not agree with his motivations, but at least they motivated him to bring a little joy in a lot of people's lives every Sunday morning. Way more honorable then you all just wanting to come do a drive by and flex on him.

All of you want to come **** on him, maybe just keep to yourself, or go find another thread to ***** on.

I agree they are just attacking an old Ag who was just wanting to know if we had any preferences or specific parts of his posts we liked. Y'all don't know how much time he spends doing his cutting and pasting. He also cares for his dogs and I imagine watches football and makes meals and had a life outside Sunday Funnies.

"Freeloader" and fellow Ag here who enjoyed your posts and frequently forwarded them to my wife and daughter. Bluestarred you every week, but never said "Nice job rocky". I thought you enjoyed posting your work, getting comments, collecting blue stars, and making people laugh. Sorry that wasn't enough for you, and we'll miss the Sunday funnies. Life will go on though...

Just gonna have to disagree I guess. People love his weekly updates but then have to dunk on him when he tells them why he doesn't want to do them anymore?

Maybe just be kind and let someone have their own motivations for doing or not doing what they want to do.

If he just stopped randomly everyone would've thought he was dead and freaked.

Rocky has contributed a lot more to texags than everyone else trying to get a quick own on him.

One of my sisters thought I should have been a comic on-stage, but I don't do routines. It's spontaneous for me. When I injured my head in 2020 and lost control of my drawing skills, funny memes were a new avenue for humor even though the memes were created by others. It gave me another way to make people laugh or at least smile. But just as when someone laughs in person, which is feedback, so is a comment. BTW, comments on this thread keep the thread atop of the forum so others can laugh at the memes. When the thread dies around noon and sinks down the page, it makes me think I have failed.

I honestly think that all you really had to do was ask. I would have listened, and made an effort to engage if I knew that you appreciated it that much. I appreciate your effort, which is why I nominated you for board president at some point.

Last week, 20 of you were kind enough to give me that - just 20!!! And it's the usual twenty people that take the small effort to let me know they appreciate what I do here. Well Rocky, I have trained many people over the last 43 years. I have found the ones that succeed are the ones that do it because they love it. The ones that fail are doing the job for recognition, advancement, or strictly money. It seems that deep down you were doing it for recognition and no amount of recognition would eventually be enough to give you satisfaction. So you have now reverted to Norte Dame's and tu's attitude. I'll take my balls and go home.

I'm guilty. I loved reading your posts on Sundays, but I also never commented. Just like 99.9% of the 500 other posts I read each week. On the bright side, I just gained 3 minutes of my Sunday's back and interrupting my wife to show her the really good ones.

Praise isn't what I'm looking for. I want to know if I'm connecting with you people. Like comics and comedians, feeback is what keeps it going. Lack of comments, good or bad, indicate I did a good or poor job. It really helps when someone posts memes from the thread, letting me know these were their favorite(s). That's all I was asking for. Was my effort that week for naught?

Seems like a lack of messaging by Rocky led to this. Easy fix is to include at the top your thread each week "let me know how I am doing connecting with you by leaving a comment good or bad. Just want to hear your thoughts"...this way you aren't assuming everyone knows what you are looking for. Best wishes and Merry Christmas
