Just my interaction with VZs. It's a mixed bag, despite what the two sides want to present.
They all agree that Maduro should have been taken out a long time ago, but there was always a faction of Chavista loyalist. Venezuela could've gone through civil war a while ago, but any opposition that could've sparked change decided to leave. The mass immigration out didn't start until 2014 or so. Many Venezualans still experienced a functioning country through Chavez.
So while Maduro may have lost a ton of support, many will only see it as a failed attempt at Chavez's vision. How big of a % of the population feels like that, is anyone's guess but its there. They're afraid of the aftermath. Stability in Latin America is a fragile thing.
They're all happy to see Maduro gone, but it's naive to think there potentially will not be a millitary power vacuum looking for the right time to strike.
The estimates I have seen from people on the ground there estimate Maduro support is around 30% but many as you point out are more Chavistas. And that tracks with the vote last year.
VZ also has gold and silver if memory serves. Bringing farms back with food supply would take some fertilizer some equipment and one growing season. Like the stuff the old Peace Corps used to do.
Then the street markets come back to sell it. BUT have to get those roving gangs that Maduro used for intimidation. They steal with impunity. Take them off of the streets and a semblance of normalcy can be restored.
Gold, iron, nickel, copper, zinc, bauxite, etc ... they are sitting on top of huge deposits of oil and resources for sure.
You will have to rebuild industry, farming, and damn sure root out TdA, Hezbollah, and other remnants of the previous regime. 25+ years worth of garbage has to be rooted out and disposed of. The good news here is I believe the best resource for the societal cleanup is the VZ people. They know who and where the evil folks are. Get the corporations working on the infrastructure and engage the citizens on cleaning up the rot.

Like you said, it'll take time, but working with the locals there's great things that can come from it.

This is great! A real Venezuelan who suffered under the hands of the brutal dictator Nicolas Maduro. Confronted a bunch of crazy TDS liberals who were protesting in support of the dictator from Venezuela.

Indeed they do.
The question is, do they have the fortitude and resolve to do so? It won't be easy, but like No Spin stated, there could be some great times ahead if they do.
...and it isn't like Iran, Russia, and China aren't flooding propaganda there now about the US coming in to rob them all. Gotta get ahead of the narrative and make it about the VZ people every day all day.

Yup, and we make cases with reason and the dimwitted left chants the usual low IQ 4 or 5 word slogans.
Seriously, how can any self-respecting person be a part of the modern American left. These people are so out of touch with basic reality to the point of real insanity.
I dare one of you lefty nuts, that until recently, posted on txags attempt to make a case. Something other "than I hate Trump" would be astounding.

that Venezuelan man has more courage, ethics, and morals than all of those idiot moronic protesters. People should understand that those idiot protesters know absolutely nothing and are doing this because they're being paid by extremely evil people.

Saw this morning that Elon is sending a ton of Starlinks there. They'll be able to communicate with each other more than they have been. Getting a few dozen to agree to be CHSs to ID the bad guys is doable, in my view.
The oldest living Groyper says it’s a “distinct possibility” that Trump captured Maduro because of Maduro’s opposition to gay marriage. Wow! He also says Maduro is a genuine social conservative, and that the US action is aimed at introducing gay marriage to Venezuela! pic.twitter.com/VrVV9C1SSA

That may be true. But if just half the Venezuelans who fled returned, that would have enormous implications. Only time will tell.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”
Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Edward Carrington, January 16, 1787

Eight million have left but they also have been gone for years and built new lives where they are. Particularly the professional classes doctors, engineers, scientists, lawyers and the like. Will they want to leave their rebuilt lives? Maybe in a few years when things are stabilized but the economic reality in VZ now is a mess. Could they even earn enough to take a haircut and still make it worth it to them?
VZ won't be fixed overnight. Some hesitation is warranted, in my view.

LOL. That would short circuit the leftist LGBTQ brain wouldn't it? If Trump said his plan was to depose Maduro in order to allow gay marriage in Venezuela.
Genuinely sad and disappointing to see what has happened to Tucker over the years. I sometimes wonder if he may have fried his brain in his youth when he used to be a deadbeat trust fund hippie who was addicted to cocaine and acid and being a roadie for jam bands?
It's almost like him and Candace were MKUltra'd or something. No I don't believe that, but to see these two figures both completely unravel mentally, almost in sync with one another, is pretty interesting. WTF happened to these two?
I used to be a HUGE tucker fan...and a pretty solid fan of Candace herself, even though she always came across as a hyper-narcissist.
Well, at least they don't hate our country like many of the Palestinians and Mexicans do. Which begs the question why they want to be here, I guess to try to change it.

This might be the best and most succinct summary on the internet. While NPCs are reposting an ignorant Jon Stewart rant about Trump doing Iraq 2.0, this guy is spitting facts.
This was excellent. I have been a fan of the Triggernometry for some time and was looking forward to Francis Fosters take as he spent a large part of his life in Venezuela. His mother was Venezuelan and Spanish was his first language. He has friends and family that have remained in Venezuela so he has a great, unfiltered contact with people on the ground.
He states that the country is currently in lockdown. People are not allowed to leave home unless they have an emergency. Much of the celebrations we are seeing are from refugees in other countries. The mood in Carcass is likely more mixed and there is a lot of apprehension about the future.
He pointed out that despite many within the Mauduro regime having a bounty on their capture, the Vice President who is currently in charge never had one. The conjecture is that she was secretly working with the U.S., provided the U.S. with information on Mauduros' movements, and has agreed to follow U.S. demands which is why Trump has kept her in place despite being a Communist. Additionally, the opposition candidate Machado lacked support and confidence of the military. Putting her in charge could have sparked a military coup.
Near the end, they focus on the New World order that has been established and imposed by Trump. It is a realization that power, whether we like it or not, is the only way to exert your will on other nations. The UN is nothing more then people who like to pointlessly wave their fists in the air. The "multiparity" of power that people clamored for is here and now anyone with power has been wielding it. Trumps unpredictability and willingness to use that power has everyone falling back into line.
ETA, just watched the Tucker clip. I really was excited when he broke off on his own and followed him through the election cycle. He has completely become untethered to reality. At this rate, I wouldn't be shocked to learn that he becomes the next host of Coast to Coast... I do miss Art Bell.

I was talking about the ones in the post that are living in Panama.
There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance. Hippocrates
As revenge for the U.S. arresting Nicolas Maduro, leftist writer Seth Harp posted the name, photo, and biographical details of a purported Delta Force commander he believes led the operation. The post went viral.
When you join Delta/CAG/SMU they clear your info from the standard databases so someone with access can't doxx them. They also make you and your family members shut down their social media. Once they retire their information goes back in the standard databases with limited information about what they have done.
They take security very seriously and have long NDAs for a reason. I know 2 people that have more than likely served (they went from being a Ranger to falling off the face of the earth as well as their family) and just smiled when I asked what they were up to. They are not like SEALs

the ones who escaped the democrat wet dream of Chavez socialist destruction and have been here for a while are super capitalist and see the similarities between between what Hugo and Nico have been doing and current US democrats.
the ones who just got here in the last four years are different though. a lot of them are criminals released by Maduro and they're just here for free stuff.
I'm glad that he's gone but usually our meddling causes significant problems as well. Hopefully this time is different but I'll be shocked if it is. When it goes bad, we'll be blamed, not that I really care.
Lol, goes bad?! How much worse can it be?! 25% of their population left the country under Maduro. Severe, chronic inflation, 80% poverty, and mass misery is all they know.
1920/1930 Germany would like a word with you.
Germany thought their misery was imposed from without. These Venezuelans seem to think it was imposed from within.
Other than that, you totally nailed it!
Agreed. It's embarrassing how weak some people in this country are.
