And no matter what you want, other than ordering the release of nuclear weapons, Trump is not going to be removed from office by the 25th Amendment.

So pretty much exactly what Iran has been doing for the last year.

So the US should conduct itself like Iran?

What "law" is this that we are beholden to? (Not debating merit or not of it). Why is the US subjective to an "international law". Is this a part of the Geneva convention?

I get that Trump is trying to use leverage to put Iran back in its box.

That said, when did the mission transition from "no nukes" to regime change, opening the strait, etc?

I didn't sign up for this.

It's pretty clear at this point that Trump isn't worried about threatening / committing international war crimes.

Simply bombing civilian infrastructure is a clear and obvious war crime,

No, it isn't.

Technically all war is a war crime.

Don't fall for this troll. Just a reminder, these are the same people who were giddy that they'd be able to label Trump a "Felon".

Just cause you could technically call him a "felon", or a "war criminal", doesn't make it so practically. It's just political theatre

Posted this on another thread but its applicable here as well.

People should really move past the term "war crime" as it is meaningless. In war, whomever wins then decides what to do with the conquered enemy. It used to be the conqueror just sliced off the head of the loser and then anyone else who was unwilling to "comply".

Starting in WWII, it was decided, barely, that we should have some semblance of a trial before decorating the Nuremberg prison yard with swinging nazis. But make no mistake, had Hitler won then FDR and Churchill would be the ones executed for the world to see after being convicted of "war crimes".

Its a totally made up concept and should be discarded as a talking point regarding war. War is war.

Trump's style of negotiation is very effective in business dealings and in tough geopolitical negotiations. And also understand we really are not negotiating. Its more of a comply or die concept.

And the talk of Trump's mental decline from leftists is a prime example of lack of self-awareness. Trump is 100% on his mental game.

It's such over the top hypocrisy, that it can't go unmentioned. You people looked the other way, and I am calling you out.

Trump doesn't have dementia, you just hate him. There isn't a scintilla of intellectual honesty on the left.

This is called mission creep. Nobody ever signs up for it, but anyone paying attention knew this is how it could possibly go (escalation ladder).

No, but all those pretending to care about genocide should've been demonstrating outside Iranian embassies or go to Tehran to protest.

Roosevelt, Truman, Churchill, Marshal, "Bomber Harris" and Eisenhower committed a lot of war crimes.... Did not know that.

Certainly feels that way when Tuesday is the Iran war protest because Trump is Hitler and Wednesday they're protesting in front of conservative supreme court justices house because they can't kill all the babies anymore.

Activist "experts" are spinning bigtime.

This quote completely backs up my assertion. If the target has as legitimate function in aiding the ability to conduct war logistically or with command and control, to enable military production, transportation, communication, etc, it is a legal and legitimate target. The fact that it may also have civilian uses is considered but doesn't counter the military and command use eligibility.

Proportionality simply means the weapon or means used to destroy the military should not be deliberately excessive to its destruction or putting out of use, such that there is needless collateral damage.

You can't target housing and food or water infrastructure with the primary purpose of civilian harm or suffering, or shared use infrastructure if the aim is civilian suffering as versus military degradation.

There are zero war crimes being committed in hitting infrastructure that interferes with military operation so long as there is no violation of proportionality.

The amount of MAGA cope going on is insane to me. I started losing faith in Trump slowly...... but this conflict is pushing me over the edge.

He's definitely seeing cognitive decline, and anyone who watches his press conferences honestly could tell you that. Is it to the level of Biden's cognitive decline? No, not even close - Biden was half-human, half sleeping pillow for the end of his Presidency. But Trump's decline is definitely starting, and he's in the middle of managing a war.

Is it time to start talking about a "maximum age" for the President? I'm getting tired of men in their late 70s (or older) losing their minds while running our country.

Seriously, everyone knows Trump talks in big brash and sometimes crude terms, but if you look at ACTIONS, which is what matters, they are much more deliberate and restrained than his language, but they are also generally decisive. Trump exaggerates all the time compared to what is actually done, but it is what is done that matters.
