Well, dammit……..I know it's a homer pick but if we don't go LB right out of the box, I'm going to bang the Crownover drum here. He's toolsy and has the traits. Will definitely need some coaching up but I think he might be worth the reach. Maybe trade back a little and get him if your immediate target goes in those first 4 or 5 picks

McCoy would be a huge swing for the fences pick but my God. His medicals must be an absolute disaster for him to drop this far

I'd lean towards a RB or an Edge. Maybe a WR who can stretch the field. None of the LBs left stick out to me, and our offense needs to get more explosive.

I'd like Caldwell. We have the depth to develop him but upside is really high. Freak athlete.

I'd say the same on Taylen Green. Mills is a free agent after this year and you need some insurance if Stroud goes full numbnard again

Caldwell and Bryce Lance fit that height/speed profile. Brenen Thompson isn't big but he can obviously stretch the field too.

Taylen Green is a freak too but I don't think he ever plays QB.

Yeah, especially another guy that can play multiple interior positions. So that 2 versatile guys that we can try out at different positions, find their best spot and then migrate from the vet to the rookie when they're ready.

woodaz is an interesting pick. fits the mold of what the texans seem to value at linebacker in this scheme, which i still feel a lot of people have been overlooking with a lot of the lb i see people wishing theyd have drafted. he's a converted safety (and qb before that), so he's got some speed and can cover. should be a decent special teams player too.

eta: this is one position i'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on. i haven't been particularly high on most of the lbs taken by this regime and they've mostly turned out to be pretty good players for the scheme and proved me wrong.

If Nussmier is available at 204 I hope we pick him, in fact I wish we had taken him with our last pick.. He has an NFL arm and was injured last year. Let him be the third string next year and after Mills leaves he would be the backup.

If he is gone then get Luke Altmyerfrom Illinois. He has tools that could make him an NFL QB down the line.

Taylen Greene is interesting but he needs a QB guru to straighten out his throwing motion if he is going to have any chance at QB in the NFL.

Agreed! I want to be critical of it and say it's a reach, but I'll let our former pro-bowl LB now head coach that put together the best defense in the league be the best judge to that position lol

6'3" 236 ran a 4.52 with a 1.55 10. Super athletic and really good in coverage. Seems like a good pick.

Would have been an intriguing pick but way too much work needed on his throwing. I'd have been more intrigued with Klubnik. But Texans are definitely not in the QB market

Leveon would be a great depth pick for Houston. You're just drafting for depth at this point anyway

Dude was 8th or so in receptions on one of the worst teams in cfb that buttchin has run into the ground. Very impressive by Bond.
