There's a few ways to get frames:
1. Find them in the wastelands.
2. Buy them from vendors.
3. Sneak up on someone wearing power armor and pickpocket the fusion core from them. This will cause them to exit the frame. Kill them, put the core back in, and make off with it.

To display your armor, go up to any frame (empty or otherwise), hit R to transfer, and then transfer the various armor pieces you want on it. It doesn't behave like normal transfers. You can only transfer power armor for each slot. If it's got a helmet already, it'll swap to whatever you want to equip on it. The armor must not be at 0 durability. If it is, go up to a power armor station, hit E, and then repair it in the menu.

If you need frames they regenerate at Kleos store in Goodneighbor, but you do have to buy them.

This looks like it took forever to make.

Anyone else getting annoyed by constant Minutemen missions? Can I ignore them if they aren't immediately under attack?

I have about 20 settlements, but every time I check back in to complete a quest, either someone in Sanctuary or Abernathy farm has a concern about raiders or ghouls in some place that id already cleared long ago.

It's getting kind of tiresome, but I suppose it's better than a faction that ends too soon.

Upgrade your defense to a higher value than the sum of food and water. Then your settlements wont get attacked.

Finish the quest, but don't complete the step to turn it into Preston.

Got a staggering minigun off a legendary super mutant in the library. It is almost unfair against deathclaws. They just stagger around while I keep the minigun on em until they die.

So ever since the BoS blimp showed up their damn helicopters have been randomly crashing all over the place. I'll be building in a settlement and BOOM one goes down nearby. I'll be clearing out ghouls and BOOM another one goes down. Are they supposed to be crashing like thay, all the time, or is my game glitched?

Grrrrrr. I just opened the tunnels in the Castle. I kept trying missiles and explosives to clear the rubble.

Also, how did you improve the walls at the Castle to make it more defensible? It seems some of you made concrete walls but I can only make wood or steel.

Wood floor with foundation has the concrete base. I think it's the third or fourth floor option.

Seriously, those things seem to go down to pea-shooters.

It's because NPC's target the pilot instead of the actual bird and the pilot has the health of an ant. So they crash every time the pilot gets killed.

I sprung a trap in the swamp area, a damn legendary sentry bot spawned behind me. Thankfully I had just found a partial x01 suit otherwise I would have been toast. Been running survival for a while but those guys are tough.

Roof of Haymarket Mall (which I looked up Garden Terrace and found it is the same thing so yeah) ... didn't spring any traps as I am on stealth rank 3 so just the deathclaw ... also not using Power Armor as I feel it is clunky and out of place on a sneaky play.

Luckily when he climbed over the edge of the building he was only triggered to Caution, not Danger so my Deliverer still got some good sneak damage before he noticed me. I think he was already mutated before he actually spotted me and attacked which was nice.

Yeah I tend to go out without power armor, sometimes find some and grab it to drop off at base. The extra carry weight is nice.

One of these days I will organize all my PA sets. Right now they are scattered around a house in sanctuary hills.

I found that deathclaw at the top of Haymarket hall. Holy hell he scared the hell out of me. I hauled ass back to the elevator and got the hell out of there fast.

speaking of deathclaws, the random quest to investigate the Museum of Witchcraft nearly made me mess my pants. Good grief that was creepy/scary. Body parts falling through the floor above you.....

Yep, had one die on me recently during an attack. Luckily, I went to build a few walls right after that and didn't have any materials to build anything. Checked the map, and the link was gone.

Do the settlers burn through the cores, or will one last them forever? Settlement of power armor'd settlers armed with miniguns, Fat Mans, rocket launchers, and flamers would be awesome.

I know I've seen glowing ghouls, not sure if they were bloated. Are they really fat?

Run into a few mirelurk queens and one King. Those weren't fun

Ran into a few bloated glowing ghouls so far. There is another variant called "charred" or "scorched" ghoul that are pretty tough.

Anybody else thinking that the game is getting easy yet?

I am level 43 that never uses power armor. I am playing on Survival and now I am resorting to hunting Deathclaws with a knife. Fought a glowing legendary deathclaw in just leather armor and a knife(granted it is Pickman's blade, which is awesome). It was simply no contest. No companions, just dogmeat. I never got below half life. And I have zero points in damage resistance or melee weapons. My build is NOT a combat build. I range the land far down south with impunity for the most part. Large mobs of synths can still give me problems from time to time, but I just switch back to guns and it's meh again. On the lookout for an Alpha Deathclaw now.

Already looking forward to high level combat in DLC's now. It's said that the toughest stuff is on the southern border and are approx. level 50. Kinda thinking Bethesda should have made areas with 100+ level baddies and quests. Oh well I guess we have to pay for those in the future.

But still enjoying it. Had a bit where I lost interest but got back into it again pretty quickly.

Yeah, combat has definitely gotten simple, especially with the right legendaries. Only one I'm on the lookout now is a minigun with the "explodes for 15 points" modifier. The one thing thing that really gives me trouble, oddly enough, is the damned super mosquitoes. Unless I can snipe them before they get near me, I'm screwed.
