This is my first Fallout game, I was curious about the DLCs. Did the others have a lot of them? Is the seasons pass worth getting, or is it just money out of my pocket?

I would change that to it's worth it now at it's reduced prices. Paying full price at each release depends I think. Some where absolutely awesome, others meh. I am hoping for DLCs on par with Oblivions knights of the nine. Full on bad ass continuing story lines. And not like Dead Money for NV. Waste of money IMO.

Broken Steel - great

the alien one - I bought it and didn't even bother to play it

I found that deathclaw at the top of Haymarket hall. Holy hell he scared the hell out of me. I hauled ass back to the elevator and got the hell out of there fast.
I do think that I need to bump up to Survival mode though ... Hard just ... isn't ... with most of my weapons silenced and some good sneak attack buffs nothing is really too bad anymore ..
I did see a Glowing one out in the river ... sitting on this little island just him and a barrel. I popped a few .308 rounds in him and found out two things ... 1) He is stuck out there ... can't get off his island and 2) his little island paradise has a radioactive barrel that heals him faster than I can shoot.

I thought Point Lookout was quite creepy and pretty good. Also thought the Alien one was pretty difficult.
New to Fallout series. Playing FO3 now. Level 13 I think. Completed Anchorage and liked it. At Point Lookout now. Damn swamp people piss me off b/c they won't freaking die! Completed the never ending Alien ship. Like being able to go back there and pick up alien weapons plus the people that stayed in the ship find stuff for me.
I am having a hell of a time getting to the damn radio station. Advice?
I've been a FPS player for awhile but never found myself so immersed in a game as I do with FO3. The game regularly scares me and gets the adrenaline pumping. So happy I bought it.

I had Piper as a companion. I left her on the rooftop when I fled. As I was getting onto the elevator the door to rooftop started to open. I hit the down button before I could see if it was her or the Deathclaw. I'll never know if I would've just waited a few more moments if I could've saved her.
(really she spawned next to me a few minutes later on the street, but I did straight nope it right out of there and left her alone with the Deathclaw. I'm not proud of that moment).

That's why I roll with no companions unless I have to have them ... Besides they always eff up my sneak attack.
Even dogmeat goes off and attacks sometimes. But usually I stay hidden and at least know where 1 bad guy is.
If you're scared get a dog.

There is a guy on YouTube that has his Fallout New Vegas: Dust play through uploaded, it's a hardcore survival horror full game conversion set 200 years or so after the events of NV.
In like the 5th video, after getting jumped by dogs, rad scorpions and tunnelers he is trying to clear a cannibal camp and sees a hunting dog across the compound. As he closes the gate he says, "I'm just gonna close this dogs can't open gates... I hope"
I about died laughing, the kid really shouldn't have been playing that mod with as jumpy as he was. I found the videos just trying to find info on the mod and have spent about 2.5 hours watching a few of the videos and listening to him freak out every 2 minutes.
I need to watch that.

Search YouTube for Fallout Dust, user alchestbreach I think the play list is like 87 videos or something crazy I am only on 8.
Some parts are really boring, some are comedic gold some are just interesting to watch the mod.
Pay up front and get any and all DLC for free.

So, I just stumbled upon an unmarked cave due east of Oberland Station (before you get to the river). Inside was an Alien and a dead body. I tried to make peace by talking to Alien but he promptly started blasting me. I killed him with shotgun and he dropped an Alien Blaster which I am in the process of modding now. This thing is crazy powerful but gonna suck when I run out of ammo. This game is nuts.
You will know you are near the cave when you see a skeleton in a sleeping bag with a fallen tree on top of it.

When GTA first came out back when I was in HS, had a buddy stay up all night playing for about a week straight. One day I am riding to school with him and he is obviously seriously tired. A armored truck drives up in the lane next to us and he starts slowly veering that way ... Turns out he thought that he could get some good **** from knocking off an armored truck lol.

I could build up Spectacle Island from scratch just from the Bryan location.
So with as easily as I handled swan and not having much of a challenge since then ... I decided I could take the castle ...
First I had a glowing legendary more lurk spawn in an interior room while clearing nest (took 5 reloads to put down) and now I have the big bad who has thuroughlg kicked my ass several times.

Castle was fairly easy. Leave the legendary one alone until after you kill the queen. Kite her and blow her up with the missiles you found in the castle. After she's dead you can build stuff in the castle. Go to the room with the legendary and build a metal fence IN the doorway, blocking the way. Then you can shoot away 
Prolly the cheat way but I had no problem with the queen and LOTS of problems with the other one.
