Anyone on the MP side gonna give Season 2 a shot? Looks like treyarch developed the ranked mode, but we're only getting Dome and the museum that was in the beta for "new" maps

I'll give it a shot, but I probably won't be playing it much. Normally I'd be hyped for ranked mode, but it's gonna be unplayable with no red dots on the map and no dead silence. They also won't add the GAs for the M4, 74U, drill charges, etc. to the rule set. It's gonna suck.

Well they actually did update the rule set with some of those changes, so that's nice. Still don't have dead silence or red dots, so it'll still be pretty much unplayable.

Took us 4 hours last night to find the final vintage wine so I could finish Black Mous Tier 3. Kept getting mowed down by squad after squad

Now you have 23 hours to get Tier 4 and Tier 5 done in Legion to unlock your 3rd insured slot before the reset.

Ha I'm good right now. That grind last night was exhausting. Went to all the wine places and nothing had the vintage wine. Took out a team and they happened to be carrying one

anyone hit season 2 up yet? curious how different dmz and battle royale are.

DMZ feedback - So far, up to tier 2 mission sets, I haven't seen "collect x of those stupid item". They definitely improved how bots spawn on the map and shoot at vrhciles driving around. Ashika Island is a nice change of pace, but too small I think. Overall game performance definitely feels improved.

I was on pins and needles doing the Island solo. Got a stronghold card and felt safe inside. I did refill 1st time.

Hopped into ranked and I think I might be addicted. Way better than pubs

Finished 3 missions on first infil. The level 1 missions are pretty easy. They buffed the hostage rescue because AI just kept coming in as I tried to run out. Pucker factor was high.

New DMZ island is very small. Not sure I am a fan of being this small. Somewhere between this size and the first map would be ideal.

Also not loving the fogginess.

Overall, first impression is kinda meh, but gonna give it more time before making final judgment

It's bigger than Rebirth unless you didn't play Rebirth. I like it. It is camp fest though. I know, I know if you could spam dead silence. Yada yada

We had a ton of success on our first night playing the new map. Several wins in the book. My brother discovered a secret entrance to the vault in the tunnels. There is an underwater tunnel next to the submarine that takes your into the vault room

Really enjoying rebirth on the new map. A breath of fresh air after several months of no rebirth.

I won my 1st game this morning by getting the final kill. 1st game after getting the swords.

Win 6 games total yesterday.

Today I had the (dis)pleasure of knocking out MCPR300 hip fire kills…..without shipment being available. Much pain.

Gonna take the swords in on DMZ and see how many people I can sneak up on!

Sounds like MW3 is getting hammered in reviews, at least for the single player part of it. Campaign is only about 4 hours long and is pretty poorly told/set up using multiplayer maps to tell the story. Also they repeated the No Russian mission from the original trilogy, just in a different setting, which is probably a dumb move in the current political climate.

My Xbox Series X wanted me to free up 200+ gigs of storage to update Modern Warfare II. Apparently it automatically downloads Modern Warfare III content.

The solution I found was to just delete all of COD and redownload the parts I want.

Man, that sucks. MWII was the first one I bought in years... thought it would be fun to mess around with MP here and there. And honestly, I had a pretty good time with it. Put in maybe a dozen or two hours into it.

But it's been frustrating lately... whenever the mood hits me to play it, I can't because there's always some 50+ GB update waiting for me instead.

Yea, I stick with Halo now. It'll be around for a decade. Free maps every season. Updates aren't as big.

Went to jump on Warzone and was hit with a 183GB update on Series X. This game is the worst with that stuff.

Lol looks like they piled on the terrible unlocking system they had in MW2 to get new guns for loadouts and just made it even more complicated and terrible. Completing daily challenges to unlock guns, grenades etc. You're basically locked out of getting access to basic stuff. Seriously who designs these games and thinks this is a good idea.

Some of the bugs are comical. Take the sniper rifle available to you from the start and when you ADS It becomes comically small. Like your operator is holding one of those mini replica guns

After playing since 2020 and buying each new game like an idiot, I am officially done. I am not going to continue to reward them while they put out an inferior product.

This is definitely the best COD since Cold War. Wish activision and IW didn't block all the changed sledgehammer wanted to make (I think the attachment unlock system is included in that list), but longer TTK, dead silence, red dots on the mini map, less aim assist, and better movement are all massive improvements.

Agree with your statement if talking about MP. But campaign should have been DLC for MW2. If you are buying for 3-4 hour campaign, don't spend the $.

Already came out that IW blocked Sledgehammer from doing the pick 10 system for this game and Activision prevented it from being AW2. Could've been AW2 with pick 10, but nope. All they offer is what MWII was supposed to be, but a year late and full priced $75.

No classic prestige and lobby disbanding still being a thing is ridiculous. All they give a **** about is all the dumbass operator packs and selling cosmetic items that have zero actual impact on gameplay.

Either I'm getting too old to understand some of these games or, like you said, they are needlessly making stuff way too complicated.

Definitely feels like, somewhere along the way, I skipped a game (probably Fortnite) that set a bunch of new standards... so all of this stuff makes perfect sense to those programmers and players. Meanwhile, I'm still stuck in 2007 trying to figure out what the hell is going on!!!

Yeah everyone copied Fortnite with the seasons/battle pass/item shop for cosmetics.
