Well, at this rate I wouldn't count on any Red Lobster restaurants opening soon.Broncos said:PS3D said:You jest but I'd give that a 30% chance of that happening.Broncos said:halibut sinclair said:
LEASED sign up in front of the former Red Lobster on University.
Maybe Red Lobster is coming back.
It's actually my odds on favorite chance of happening.

A waiter served me a beer in a glass with ice and a straw for dinner earlier today. I couldn't help but laugh. He was a kid.
I'm not a huge ramen fan but my kids are. Do they serve alcohol? I can't eat it without wine or a beer. That's my biggest beef with Tanaka Ramen. Just seems bland with just water.CN said:
Iza Robata is open (old Whole Fried Chicken location on Rock Prairie). Maybe soft open? They're definitely still working out the kinks because the food took forever to come out, they were confused about which orders went to which table, and tried to bring us things we didn't order. And they weren't even that busy. However, the food was good. It's been a long time since I've eaten at Tanaka but the duck ramen I had was really good and better than any ramen I've had from Tanaka. I'm no ramen expert though. We tried several of their appetizers and they were good too. The soft shell crab bao was OK... a little too much batter for me but each bao was pretty big.
From their website, yes they do.TyHolden said:I'm not a huge ramen fan but my kids are. Do they serve alcohol? I can't eat it without wine or a beer. That's my biggest beef with Tanaka Ramen. Just seems bland with just water.CN said:

Originally in the early 1970s that was Crown and Anchor Restaurant, one of the few nice restaurants in the area. I had an A&M class in the back room every Thursday evening for two hours one semester.BryanPooch said:
Jos'es also burned completely in the 80's when it was on Harvey Road east of Hwy. 6. The backroom looked out onto a park-like meadow. Then it relocated on Texas Ave. In the former Randy Sims Bar-B-Q, our last go-to barbecue restaurant, where it's remained. Jose was a warm, genteel owner and we loved the staff, especially at the original location. 'Course that was all post Zarape's in downtown Bryan.
We've been a few times for First Friday.EBrazosAg said:
Any report on Billy's Grille and Bar ?
Went today for lunch. There was a "Credit Surcharge" of $0.40 on my bill. I asked that it be removed since I was paying cash, and it was. I was assured the surcharge is only ever applied if a credit card is used for payment (makes sense).EBrazosAg said:

Interesting to see Dim Sum at a Japanese place but excited to try it. I can't believe we don't have any place doing Dim Sum in this town, at least on weekends!

Probably because there's no chicken tenders involved.
