The building across the street from Chicken Oil where the archery place used to be is almost all gone. They are loading the rubble into big trucks right now.

I believe that side of the street is owned by the people who own Farm Patch.
The owners of Chicken Oil eventually plan on tearing down the old building next to it and making that into parking.

I didn't realize the Scarmardos owned that piece as well.
I had heard that part of the issue with reopening Chicken Oil was bringing parking up to code, both in condition and number of spaces.

Mark Scarnardo told me a couple of months ago they they owned the land just to the South of Farm Patch and were going to expand on that parcel of land instead of building a new facility behind where Razoo's is located, which was the initial plan.
The Scarmardo's own that center across from the Hilton & they spent their own $$$ putting the "street" in that connects University Drive to Lincoln between Blue Baker & Rosa's.

Sounds like TAMU is waffling on the Macy's purchase for E-sports center. Thought that would have been a great solution for both parties involved.

heard some local report on texags radio a couple minutes ago. somebody from the city said they haven't heard from tamu and will start looking into other avenues.techno-ag said:

It was a Pres Banks baby, so maybe there wasn't enough justification/momentum to keep it going after Banks "retired".
I think it would have been great. Not that I would participate, but Esports is growing fast and getting set up as a premier destination for Esports would pay dividends for the local economy.

This is my shocked face. When are the voters in this town going to wake up and realize that electing a bunch of academics with very little real world knowledge on anything, isn't exactly a great idea for the prosperity our city? These people ought to be embarrassed and ashamed. But they are so arrogant and have such an insane level of hubris, that they are not. They paid millions more for a functionally obsolete facility than what an investor/flipper paid just a matter of months before. What's their attitude on this in the aftermath?
