My favorite play on the Pho concept was a random restaurant "Pho King" in Austin. Just brilliant!

Every time I've tried to go there for lunch I can't find any parking available and I've been as early as 11:30.

Wish they would move into the old Fargo's spot.

Finally made it to La Bodega last night. It was empty when we got there at 6 but started to fill up a bit. Queso Fresco is legit good. Melon marg was a bit too melon for my taste but still good. The surf & turf burrito is huge and excellent with large steak chunks. Plenty for two meals.

Excellent service and food, will be back sooner rather than later. For some reason I thought it was still counter service like Mad Taco.

It was initially and then changed at some point to table service. I actually like it better this way now.

lol because of you I'm actually contemplating taking the roasted corn out of the pico for the upcoming menu change that goes wirh our tv upgrade and the addition of the 14 foot outdoor LED Jumbotron. The charred corn was just for color and to add a little smoky flavor, We never dreamed anyone would comment on it lol.

Went to Holleman Tavern on Wednesday night. Was craving a burger and my wife wasn't hungry at all and my son's friends had told him the food was good.

The burger was pretty average. I had the BBQ bacon burger because it came with a sourdough bun. To me it seemed like their beef was the issue. Not bad but not great.

I got tots for the side. They were also average. Maybe I'm jaded by having the tots at Red's recently, which were outstanding, but these were not great. Maybe the grease was old?

Service and atmosphere were very good.

Corn belongs in chips and tortillas and cornbread.

That was literally my fave. Hated to see it go. In our biz though if it doesn't sell it has to go. Our merchandise is perishable, not like Levi's or something lol. We have to make those tough decisions at every menu update/product mix analysis.
