I have absolutely no idea on the logic used to make charging decisions. They should both be charged with murder and do we just not care about the other guy that was shot?

I assume by parents you mean both of their mothers because statistically they don't know their dad, they are locked up or already dead.

Can you imagine reading a story about two white or asian men having a duel in public, killing innocent people? Yet it's somewhat common among a certain subset of the population. It's crazy that it is literally only one demographic where you read the headline and automatically know what group they belong to. Even the most hardcore Edgar's don't get down like this.

I have a theory...there are just no male role models to teach them the "code" anymore. There used to be at least SOME rules and boundaries...but almost every black kid born in the urban areas nowadays is out of wedlock. Raised exclusively by women. A decade or two ago, there were still a few grandpa's and uncles around, but they have all died off. We literally have large urban communities with almost no fathers or father figures present anymore. A bunch of "youths" raised by dumb deadbeat females.

That is a recipe for disaster and I am not sure how it ever gets reversed. Go spend an entire day cruising 3rd Ward or 5th Ward...you may not see a single father/son or father/daughter combo.

There absolutely are people out there completely oblivious to reality though. Better safe than sorry.
