Denbrock from ND. He and Elko were there together for one year. He has overseen some pretty great offenses and seems to be able to adapt to the talent he has from year to year.

Arkansas finished 30th in scoring offense, 19th in total offense, 30th passing offense and 27th rushing offense. Pretty good numbers for a terrible team that fired their coach.
He'd be a good play caller and Co-offensive coordinator and mentor for Wiggins if the plan is to make Wiggins OC. Retaining coach Wiggins is very important but making him the play caller when he has no experience is risky.

He is from that area, I think it's more about location than money to Denbrock. He left money on the table at LSU to leave for ND.

A costly pick would be Joey Halzle. He's OC at Tennessee. Youngest of them all above, but his offense was ranked a few ahead of A&M for offensive touchdowns per game.
He's younger and has a top 5 most offensive touchdowns in the country.

Chip Kelly is known to dislike recruiting. Name alone isn't enough. You need desire too, and he doesn't have it.

Former Aggie qb who's stuck as a position coach on an offense that he's not in control of. not a slam dunk hire but certainly think he would fit the culture Elko is building

Guaranteed this is not a surprise to Elko and he already had a succession plan in mind whether internal or external.
I would think we would want an OC/QB coach. DeSean Jackson at Delaware State could be very good.

Ill never miss Klein over some of his very boneheaded calls, trying to make Marcel a pocket passer and the non development of all backup QBs
I'll add in our variable choices for RBs and the rep distribution. Has driven me crazy how he sits guys then relies on them. Never makes sense as to who he will use and when. It isn't like we've really pulled things over on other teams when they don't know who our RB will be or what they might do
IMO as much as I love Collin idk if he wants to work on our offense and build a staff. I think it be best to let him go focus on his new job and promote the best option in house with Wiggins. Wiggins has been in waiting to be an OC for a while and if we're looking at next man up it's him he's already been co offensive coordinator

I was going to say, we should promote from within and build on what we've done offensively rather than start from scratch with a new scheme. I don't know much about Wiggins but if Klein and Elko agree he's the guy, I support this move…not that anyone cares.
