If head to head matters, it should be Miami.
But the truth is, it doesn't if it's one of the sacred cow schools.
They'll put Notre Dame in and come up with the argument that head-to-head was early in the season, as if it matters when they played and Miami beat them....

Whoever brings the most eyeballs to tv sets. I would love to see the committee trying to justify Miami being left out after the H2H win against ND.

Tech is basically being credited for convincingly beating teams worse than pretty much anyone we played in conference

Oregon's 6th
Not only that, but Ole Miss & Oregon lost to their top opposition.
A&M lost to tu, with ND being our only "tougher" game
Tech lost to 44th (Sagarin) rated ASU.
With other schedules, they'd have played:
A&M's schedule: 7 teams ranked higher than 44
Ole Miss's schedule: 5 teams ranked higher than 44
Oregon: 5 teams ranked higher than 44
BYU is basically a service academy. A bunch of well-drilled, lunch pail guys that fall apart against decent athletes that aren't poorly coached.

Yep, Committee still can't shake it. They equate any 11-1 record as the same and essentially that the Big 12 champ is as good as the SEC or B1G champ. Total farce.
Not saying Tech is awful, they are a solid top 20 team, but they are NOT a Top 10 team much less Top 5, and BYU F'ing SUCKS. UT, OU, tu, LSU, FL, probably also State would destroy BYU.
Technical will get a 4 seed with their best win being BYU playing a true FR QB.
All it took for technical to win a conference title since the 1950s is aTm, OU, and tu leaving the conference…

I mean, they rattled off 10 straight wins!
And there are some big time wins on that schedule, ya got:
- Purdue
- Arkansas
- Boise St.
- NC State
- USC
- Boston College
- Navy
- Pitt
- Syracuse
- Stanford
That is good for a total of 0 quality wins, but get this, they have TWO quality losses! One to Texas A&M and another to Miami! Very few teams are capable of acquiring two such losses in a single season, honestly, ND should probably be ranked No. 1, Ohio State and Indiana have a combined ZERO quality losses...gotta question how good either school is.
I think Miami would beat either of these two big 12 teams. ND would smash both of them. Love would be going for 200 plus.
Miami should be where ND is. No doubt about it.

They have stated they have not been using that head to head win bc they have not been compared to one another bc they compare teams in groups.
So that is my point. Now that they will be by one another, they should be grouped together to use the head to head.
But of of course we all know they are full of it.

How bad does the backup have to be that you continue to play the kid that only has one good leg? It burns me up when coaches do this. Sherman did it with a one armed JJ instead of Tanny. I see it all of the time. To me, I'd rather play a healthy player that may be limited on the playbook versus being limited on the playbook due to a gimped up player.
It's obvious that if we don't play very aggressive we will go nowhere in the Playoffs !
Not to continue to beat a dead horse, but we played 3 games against teams ranked above 60 in Sagarin and they were our "bought" wins - UTSA, Utah State & Samford.
HALF of TT's schedule was below 60.
Can you imagine playing half of our games against teams like UTSA, losing 1 game with that schedule and still being ranked #4?

Well, the B1G teams didn't play anyone all season. Why should they have to play anyone in the playoffs either.
