In 2023 the Ags were underperforming at an unprecedented level and paid record amount of money to make Jimbo go away

Good things that have happened since Elko came to town
Broke the road losing streak
Broke the Baton Rouge losing streak
Found some great contributors through the portal

Playing the exact same schedule with the home and away flipped
Improved to 11-2 and did not lose to an unranked team

Made the playoffs

It's going to be a long off season
But The off season is always long

And I sure as heck did not see any Ags complaining at the road wins at LSU and Notre Dame. In fact, it was big time party at both for everyone in attendance.

If you didn't have any affiliation with A&M, and saw how the fans are reacting to the best season in over 30 years and first ever playoff appearance, would you want to associate with that as a coach or player? We can whine about how it's because the fans and admin don't demand greatness, but to outsiders you just come off as delusional weirdos who they don't want to associate with.

Feels worse. We got to 11-2 and yet have nothing to show for it. Didn't beat sip. Got embarrassed at CFP. Confirmed every single accusation about our schedule.

If tu wins their meaningless bowl game, they have more momentum and recruiting ammo moving forward than we do.

They went 8-4 in a "down" year (beating OU and us) getting Manning a year of experience.

This all year after playing in the SEC Championship game and winning TWO playoff games.

We didn't confirm anything other than we beat 1 top 15 team and lost to two more with both losses coming after our OC had been interviewing for and taken his dream job.

Tech has beaten 1 top 15 team (No, Utah is not top 15 no matter what the rankings say, as Utah beat literally nobody). Oregon has beaten ZERO. Ole Miss has beaten 1.

Agree with OP. The 11-0 run was amazing. Nothing can replace the euphoria of the ND & LSU nights or the comeback vs usce. Only the saddest people on earth would treat this season as 8-4 meh.

Unfortunately this board is littered with sad, pathetic soulless losers. But I still wish them all a MERRY Christmas regardless! They probably need the well wishes more than anyone.

This whole thing shows how there are two types of A&M fans, the Little Picture and the Big Picture Fan.

The Little Picture fan is driven by emotion and nostalgia and just want to go to a game in person with their kid and see a win with them and that one game is all that matters. They don't care about the state of the program or the Big Picture. For them 11 wins with no trophies, no bragging rights and no titles is still worth celebrating and hanging a banner for because it's better than our usual mediocrity. They are the sort of Aggie that says dumb things like "We can be 1-11 as long as the 1 is against tu!"

The Big Picture fan is more concerned with broader trends and higher goals in the program than any individual game. For them a huge win against a top ranked opponent upset is cool but doesn't matter when you still finish the season losing to a bunch of unranked nobodies to go 8-4. Likewise 11-2 is good but when you end it on crapping the bed on the national stage the second there is any expectations and end the season with no titles, bragging rights or trophies then you still haven't accomplished your goals anymore than if you were 8-4.

This. I significantly enjoyed 2012 far more than 2025, because of how we finished. We got better throughout the year and won all our games in November rather than regressing throughout the year and ending the year with two losses.

You bled all off season about 8-4, continued to bleed through every game until it was clear the team was way better than you could have ever imagined or trolled.

You are the epitome of a loser. You have zero credibility because all you do is move goalposts or hide when you can't troll your way out of it. You're a mental midget. Maybe it's the mentality of people like you that leads to a national perception that A&M can't get over the hump. You're a cancer to this board.
