This is nothing but good for the MLS. At some point, the money will be there to spend to keep these players and attract other top players and take MLS to TIer 1 status, but it isn't there now.
There is nothing wrong about being the step below the top leageus, you can still play quality soccer and have great players.

This is good for the kids and good for the US.

As far as MLS goes, this is neutral for them, and frankly I don't care about their health until they get their s*** sorted out. My MLS watching has actually declined the last year or two because of how badly I think the league is being run. /rant

Bad because MLS gets zero compensation, but good for every other reason stated

Saw rumors that both the US and Colombia are trying to sign JCO as their new coach. I initially was a fan of his, but my enthusiasm has cooled to the point where I'd rather Colombia get him.

Fixing the compensation to the clubs would make a pretty substantial positive impact. Good the young players can overcome the extra hurdles they have to get over, though.

Looked like an ACL to me.

In other news, McKennie scored today.

And the Gooch had a pretty solid assist.

Not sure you bring in Sargent since he's just starting his club career; although he scored for Werder Bremen II already.

John Brooks scored and surrendered a penalty over the weekend. Fabian Johnson scored for Borussia Monch. where he plays as part of the attacking 3. Yedlin is back from the knee scare and scored an own goal yesterday.

Soo....any updates on who our new coach will be? We still don't even know the roster for next weeks friendly vs. Brazil....

So, Dempsey retired.

I saw his last MNT goal. Pretty cool. My buddy was questioning the strategy of not having a lefty kick that ball. So little did he know.

Seems like only a few months ago, i was pumped about this kid from Texas making waves in International games.

Sad to see him retire.

I really thought we'd see a hire not too long after the World Cup. Hopefully they're just taking the time to interview people and make a great hire.

Sargent, 18, is available to play for Bremen in the Bundesliga this season, and caught the eye of coach Florian Kohfeldt with another classy finish against Weiche Flensburg.
The Missouri teenager scored his fourth goal in five games on the half hour of the German fourth-division clash, although his side were later pegged back in a 1-1 draw.
"I thought that Josh played very well yesterday," Kohfeldt said at a press conference on Thursday. "Josh will definitely get his chances to play with us in the friendly games next week."

Pulisic doubtful against Brasil and Mexico

Quote:

The injury will be a worry to the United States ahead of the international break. Interim coach Dave Sarachan's side take on Brazil and Mexico in friendlies in September.
Pulisic's omission also means he missed the chance to make his 100th Bundesliga appearance for Borussia Dortmund since joining the club in 2015.
He picked up the injury during Dortmund's 4-1 win over RB Leipzig on Sunday. He is rated as doubtful for both international matches, according to ESPN FC's Stephan Uersfeld.
