Still bitter about Suarez's handball against Ghana in South Africa...
Why? Because a guy sacrificed himself for his team? Be bitter that ghana missed the ensuing pk

Because it was cheap! Was it a good move for his team, sure - incredibly quick thinking and a "smart" play. But it was cheap. And even with that game -- they got away with it.

Really sucks no Cavani today. He and Godin are the only two Uruguayans I enjoy watching/respect.MookieBlaylock said:
Uruguay really missing its best player

Ghana got a penalty and Uruguay got a red card. Its not like Uruguay wasn't punished harshly for the red card. Was it maybe a bit unsporting? Possibly. But in terms of preventing a good and being punished for it, it's not too much different from taking down a guy from behind after he's beaten the keeper and about to tap it in.

I mean he got a red card and Ghana got a pk. I mean did you expect Suarez to just watch the ball go into the net and go home?

Sure it does! Like I said, it certainly is a tactic. But it doesnt matter what sport it is, I still think it's cheap and I wouldnt coach or encourage it. But is it necessary to stop big plays? - yes. If you want to keep yourself out of having to make that decision: be quicker, beat the opposing team to the ball, etc.

Is the field in that bad a shape? Seems like the ball is bouncing all over the place.

You're probably right, he just didnt have a great reputation beforehand (no pun intended) to make me think it was "instinct" as much as "intentional".
