CR for this match is Nestor Pitana (ARG). This is his 5th assignment of the WC. He had the opening match as well. That's a rarity. Only the second time it's happened.

Watch Lovren. The last 2 matches he's really thugged it up early and the typical WC "we cannot card players" had been really obvious. That will I think tell what kind of match we will get.

The card count had been really amazing this time. There have been only 4 red cards. 2 for DOGSO; the blatant Colombian handling in MD1 and the meaningless one in the last 15 seconds back in the QF. The other 2 were 2CT. So basically if you are on a card you know the second isn't coming. No VC. No SFP.

When the other team is so aggressive with fouling, it's an easy sell to the ref.

Regardless, not a fan of the dive.
