I think if you go back to the start of this match, and replay it 100 times, Croatia wins 60+. Somehow we wound up on the most bizarre of the timelines.

I'm not saying in every match it would be 60% Croatia. I'm just saying that based on the run of play today, Croatia looked superior. Today's result really is a strange outcome for the quality of each side. France could hardly string two passes together.

I'm excited about our future so I definitely don't want to seem like a Debbie downer here. We've always had great goalies and I'm certain one will emerge. Someone has to take the damn job though. We haven't had a young guy step up and grab it yet

Its definitely the one area we've had world class players for quite some time, and even now we've got a lot of younger guys in the euro leagues. Will be interesting to see who makes a move, there's no clear #1 for the first time in a long time.OregonAggie said:

Part of being a coach is working in the parameters of the country and culture. Klimsman was terrible at that. His basic approach was to "be German". He failed, that doesn't work.
