Great game really. Gave up the one counter early (it was a fluke really) but we were peppering them all day and applying huge pressure. They just kept making the play or clearing...until we broke through. Then they quit and we pummelled them late.

Solid outing as a whole. Several missed opportunities for sure, especially Kane and Lucas in the first. Villa were lucky to get their goal and we were lucky with the defection/pinball to Kane to score the winner.

Eriksen proved to be a game changer. We need to find a way to keep him if possible.

Ecstatic to see Ndombele net a beauty for his first. Looked destined for the back of the net even with the slight deflection

Sissoko was again an anchor and will be vital to our success. KWP looked a lot more solid and confident. Huge props to Lamela for his game today

Overall, considering absence of Davies, Dele, Son, and Jan, lots of positives. And we haven't even scratched the surface with Ndombele, Lo Celso, and Sessegnon.

Eriksen has always been a game changer. I have no idea why the club seems willing to let him walk, or maybe those are just rumors?

In listening to various Spurs pods, Eriksen has always had "a career plan" involving a move at some point away from the club. It sounds more of preference and professional desire to play in another league for another experience.

Not sure of the motivation and the timing, however I hope that both sides can sit down and work out an amicable solution. We don't want to see him go on a free next season, he wants a new experience away from Spurs. They need to hammer out an extension with a reasonable release clause so that both sides can get what they desire, if possible.

The more glaring issues tbh involve sitting Jan and the likelihood of losing Toby after this season. Aurier wants out apparently, so not we're looking at depth issues for center backs.

Fullback position needs to be addressed in the next transfer window

Walker Peters has done better than can even be expected ...it's kind of the Spurs way though....we just don't go get the pieces we need to play with a club like this

If you're talking about the video you have linked, it looks like he was celebrating the city goal that was disallowed by VAR.
