I don't understand Chelsea's approach right now…they put great athletes in the wing in Mudryk and Sterling but guve them no space to work 1-on-1.
They float the ball into the box but they're all standing outside the box looking for a pass.
I know everyone "needs time" but this is basic stuff

Given Chelsea's personal, a 4-3-3 would make so much since. Mudryk and Sterling wide. Caceido holding midfield. Carney and Fernandez on left and right midfield. Drop one of the center-backs.TXAggie2011 said:

Instead I think they play a 5-2-2-1 because Reece James is a world class right wing back but only really good right back. Only problem is Reece James is also hurt alot and you never base a team philosophy around a right wing-back.
Playing with wing backs forces Sterling and Mudryk to play more narrow and gives them less space to turn and take on a defender.

Pep's comments about Saudi are spot on… everyone is complaining, but when Saudi comes calling, teams happily pick up the phone cause they know they're gonna get paid.
Heard the other day that since Boehly's group took over they have spent more money than all of La Liga combined.
