Yes. One of the top 3 guys here. It can't be Turpin. It can't be Taylor (not in a million years) and Oliver has already left ( he would be in the same boat as Taylor anyway). Orsato just did a semi so he's out. It wasn't going to be Elfath. I think there was something that ruled Makkelie out too.

But I think they were saving Marciniak all along.

The bug going around the French squad has gotten a few more players. Rabiot and Upamencano have had it and missed the semis. Now Varane and Konate.

Back 4 could be Hernandez - Saliba - Kounde - Pavard which is still a really damn good lineup

Yeah its definitely no joke. I think the only concern is chemistry there. In terms of talent, it still looks like a top 3 in the world back line.

I'll have to hand it to Deschamp as he's done a fantastic job of managing the egos. Hell, he's even got Griezmann doing the defensive dirty work.

Brazil definitely has the best attacking talent team but I personally think France has best team in terms of overall talent across all positions. France didn't have Benzema, Konte, Pogba and Nkuku due to injuries.

Theo plays at AC Milan, which doesn't change your point… If anything it makes the list look even more impressive by having 4 top names in 4 top leagues.

I'd be on cloud nine if our starting back line ever looked like that.
