Amazing what a legit striker can offer a team, and Arsenal need one in such bad way.

Hindsight. We were excited to sign GJ and he was pretty hood until he hurt his knee before the World Cup.

I was thinking the same. Have seen enough of these games vs the northmen to conclude they have figured out how to stymie the Gunners. It's really frustrating to watch after the 5-1 dismantling of city.
And it's not hard to understand how they will approach the match.

Gabriel Martinelli faces more than a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury suffered against Newcastle on Wednesday.

Was there anything more predictable than one of the few remaining attackers at Arsenal picking up an injury as soon as the window shut?

It was such a gamble to just go with what they had. One that has already backfired. Four attackers left (including Sterling and a 17yo).

Isak was a definite miss but Jesus' injuries have also definitely greatly heightened the problem.

If Jesus gave 12-15 goals a year, and I think he very well would without the injuries, we'd be in a very decent shape.

I don't see Isak happening ever.

I think we're going to have to ride with Havertz and either take a flyer on a veteran to help get us through next season or overpay a good bit to get a younger guy. Or both.
