I'll spell it out.

You said "The Clippers are a horrible matchup for the Spurs." We said: "no team with VDN as HC is a horrible matchup for a team coached by Greg Popovich."

Duncan's stuff of Griffin's dunk attempt was monstrous.

I guess when you've had all your teeth kicked in already, getting kicked in the mouth one more time doesn't hurt, eh simpletard?

spurs on an epic roll...asterisk denied

I'd say that the Grizzlies were a worse match up for the Spurs than the Clippers. Their front court is much more experienced.

grizz would have been tossed in five with relative ease...the only team that has a shot to beat this team, regardless of injuries, is and was okc

Duh. Everyone knows that except simple.

The first round played exactly as I had hoped. Spurs with a sweep and the Clippers edging the Grizzlies in a seven game series.

To anyone paying attention, the Grizzlies would have been a worse matchup for the spurs than the Clips.

Won't happen and probably shouldn't but how great would it be if Pop said eff it and sat Tim tomorrow?

Relative ease even knowing that spurs got bounced by them last year?

Yeah, yeah ginobili was injured (so was Gay) but he wouldn't have helped with Randolph dominating ya'll. With Rudy Gay healthy this time around, I think the grizz would've won again.

But alas, the playoffs are all about matchups, matchups, match ups and the clips were a bad matchup for the grizz.

this is a nasty spurs team- every time I see leonard make a steal, block a shot or rip a three its like watching a talented Bruce Bowen

Disagree (of course) because our front court is in much, much better shape. Duncan is healthy and nimble this season whereas he played last year's series with a bum ankle. Splitter is better than he was last year. Kawhi gives us a great boost on the glass (and is a solid inside & outside shooting threat). And Diaw is playing solid defense.

Throw in a healthy Ginobili and an improved Parker and I think we would have won in 5-6.

Still like the CLips and Del Negro more, though.

Leonard does seem to always come up with a great hustle play.

Spurs are much deeper this year than last year. I think they would've handled the grizz. Not like they are the clippers, but still would've won.

The Grizz are still a worse matchup than the Clippers, but the Spurs are a totally different team this year.

Diaw (huge against Randolph/Gasol), Jackson and Leonard (to cover Gay), Green to score from the corners, Duncan healthy and lighter, Ginobili healthy, Parker playing better... this year's Spurs team would sweep last year's Spurs team.

When was the last trade that was as mutually beneficial as leonard for hill?

This team would've easily handled Memphis. To think otherwise is retarded

Reggie Miller is a damn idiot. He said that OKC is more playoff tested than the Spurs because they have won games by smaller margins. I really don't understand why Turner keeps the Millers around.
aggie_2001_2005
How long do you want to ignore this user?
yeah, the spurs are so untested...they havent had to make a monumental comeback or anything

He just means that the Thunder aren't going to panic when facing adversity because they've already faced a lot during these playoffs, especially late in 4th qs.

It's still a dumb point when you're talking about a team with Duncan, Ginibili, Parker, and Pop. Those guys have seen enough adversity over the years to keep from panicking (hell look at today)

My favorite part of the game was in the 2nd Quarter when they showed the shot of Pop and Tony laughing it up with Duncan slouched back like he was about to fall asleep. The Spurs were still down 10 and in the midst of a comeback and you would think it was a pre season game with the level of concern they were showing.

Don't be a freaking moron. What happened last year has absolutely no bearing on this. Last years spurs team would get beat by 20 every game against this years team. It isn't just Manu being back, there's far more to it than that.

The Grizz would have stood no chance this year assuming no injuries.

it's almost like you all are choosing to ignore he's pretty badly hurt

but don't worry you'll never miss that when point out you wouldve won the title had Derek Anderon been playing. Or Manu had hair the past 5 years.
