Glad Nash will be back, but it will be moot without Kobe.

He's been saying for a while that next year is it. I know the doubters will fuel him and yada yada. Dude is old and tired and hurt. And if the team looks like another 7ish seed? This might be it.

That's what happens when you're the only dude doing anything on the team. Not a lakers fan but Kobe is a beast. Dont wish that on anyone.

Spurs fan here hoping Kobe can recover from this unfortunate injury. He's a great great player and I love seeing him and Duncan beating father time. Sure hope this isn't the end for one of the games greats.

This Rockets fan hopes he makes a full recovery too. One of the games all time greats. Wouldn't wish that on anyone, even a Rockets killer like Kobe. As a fan of basketball, I hope he can come back

A team constructed with Howard, pau, Nash, and Artest wanting to prove something is still quite capable of winning.

Lakers probably weren't going to win a series anyway, but now they become like the Jordanless bulls. Still dangerous.

Another Spurs fan here that echos what Diet and Sher said. Hope he is able to come back next year and not have to end his career via an injury. Just too many minutes down the final stretch of the season.

Great win tonight to stay alive and possibly clinch a playoff birth with a Jazz loss tomorrow.

God I wish we could've had Kobe and Nash against Spurs in the first round.

Who knows what kind of momentum they could've gotten after beating the spurs in the first round

Lakers won this on the glass out rebounding SAS by 12 total / 6 offensive boards. In a close game where neither team shot well it was the difference.

We've won 7 of our last 8 and we would've great momentum going into the playoffs, but I can't see a path out if the West even with Kobe and Nash. OKC, Denver, and even the Clippers are matchup nightmares for us. No way the stars were ever going to align for us to play the Spurs, Warriors and the Grizzlies. Even then I feel we would stumble with as poor as we've been on the road.

Regardless of what happens I'm still proud of this team for continuing to fight through the seemingly never ending adversity of this season. The guys who are back next year will undoubtedly draw confidence and strength from this experience.

If LA beats Houston they are in the 7th seed and will play Spurs.

If Utah wins and LA loses, they're out.
