That's an awful lot of assumptions. While I agree that SA will probably win this series, it is a tad foolish to think that GS simply cannot compete with the Spurs based on one victory with an improbable comeback

I missed the game and began to read this thread backwards. Awesome that manu's shot seems to happen between pages 10 and 11. The shift in moods is incredible.

Possibly. Although Golden State has to be asking themselves, "when are we ever going to win one in San Antonio?" If they couldn't do it last night, with a truly magnificent performance by Curry, then what's it going to take? Duncan sick, Splitter out, Parker and Ginobili both struggling for the majority of the game - it was the perfect storm for Golden State and they blew it. They can move forward (it's certainly not inconceivable when you have a player as talented as Curry), but it's not going to get any easier for them.

Coincidence that we made up 16 points in 4 minutes and have McGrady on our team? I think not.

I'm not sure whether to be optimistic or not. Sure, Curry shot lights out for 3 solid quarters and GSW was over 70% at one point, which is unlikely to happen every game, but they also showed they can keep up an incredible pace for extended periods of time. If they figure out they need to rest Curry before the fourth quarter, they might have him shooting lights out through the fourth as well, which would be troubling.

On the other hand, Duncan was out, Ginobili and Parker were ice cold for most of the game, and Tiago was out.

Guess we'll see. I think game 2 will be a battle.

The Spurs have some of the best (if not the best) designed plays in the NBA. Those gifs are examples of beautiful basketball, and I have no shame in admitting that

Jack appears to be the weak link on their defense. He's going to get a talking to in film sessions.

Requesting a gif of Manu's monster dunk and that sick block late in the game.

For those predicting a GS series win:

Which team in this series is most likely to shoot better and get healthier as the series goes on?

Hint: it's the team already up 1-0.

I struggle to put into words what a joy it is to watch him play.

This is a great NBA play (from Sher's post), and shows how really small the windows are to get a shot off in the NBA (vs. the set shots that can be done in NCAA).

Besides the screener being the one who ends up open, Harrison Barnes is seeing the play and is smart enough to almost get out there (Diaw actually holds him). But because a half step too late, the shooter has enough time and is good enough to have feet planted when the ball is delivered to make the shot. Below the basket, Curry actually gets pinned. Good NBA play.

Granted we had the entire 2nd section to ourselves down the stretch but jeez.. Some people missed the best ending to a game I have ever seen in person. And p.s.. How in the heck to do you make a video like that so fast? Should he not get a job with NBA.com?? Wow

GS is the underdog. It's the playoffs. They're on the road. How are they supposed to react? Like they don't give a ****?
