Joseph is fouling every time he tries to cover the ball. He's not a proven defender just yet, and he's not defending that well this game. Relies too much on handchecking and bumping, which draws a foul call most of the time. That said, Neal's defense is trash. As I said in the offseason, I'd like to see them drop Neal for another good perimeter defender. Green and Leonard can't defend everyone, and right now Neal/Joseph/Parker are having a very hard time covering anyone.

As many fouls as the GS bigs have been called for, they are committing more. It looks like they decided to just go out and use their hands, move on screens, whatever they have to do to spring shooters loose and get offensive rebounds. They must be hoping the refs will flinch from fouling them all out, and it has worked at times.

One of those fouls was complete garbage. I'd rather have someone be physical and foul than have someone get beat with every first step.

Spurs D playing well. If they could only combine that with defensive rebounding and made free throws. Spurs should be up 15+.
