Would have been nice to have landed Derrick Rose for about the same money and let White/Murray play more off ball.aggieactor01 said:
I really hope it's Walker.
I also wish we'd give some of the other young guys a run and see what we have. We're not making a title run this year so why not give some of those younger guys some minutes and let them grow up.
And still the most bizarre thing to me is that Demarre Carroll has barely seen the court. What a strange acquisition.
I don't completely agree with everything, but PTR wrote this the other day about it...

Zion has scored 16 straight points to give them the lead for a sec.
17 straight points. He made four 3 pointers and all of them were wide open. Spurs defense for you.

I'm sure your gameplan would have been to push up on him and let him drive for dunks.

He's got a notoriously poor, flat shot, and there literally isn't NBA game film on him. Any coach with a pulse would rather him chunk up 3s than watch him put on a slam dunk contest.
Zion played really really poorly until his explosion. Hard to say after 18 minutes of game action if he's the next all time great or if the adrenaline and the home crowd helped create a little magic.

There is no question that Zion is a unique freak athlete and basketball player. Who also plays super hard. Just a question of how healthy he can stay in his career. But if he stays healthy then the next decade while that athleticism remains, will be a really fun player to watch.
You're surprised? ESPN does a cover story when LeBron's son dunks in a game.Sports-Ag said:
Not sure if you all know but the Spurs won the game. I think the media is not aware yet or may never find out because of Zion.

One of the most nauseating things to see as a Spurs fan is Forbes clapping at himself for missing shots and making stupid plays game after game like he's better than that (a la Pau)....he's not. He blows.
Poor shooting night from 3 all around though.
