The NL East is going to be brutal this year but still lots of reasons to be excited about this team. Hope that we can get some guys off the IL early to be full strength. If they struggle early we will see if they feel more pressure to add someone like Kimbrel.

I think they take a step back after making the playoffs last year....similar to the Astros from the early Correa/Altuve years.

They wasted the opportunity to add another top tier starter this off season
I hate to put too much weight on games in March, but this Philadelphia series seems like a nightmare. The Phillies dominated the offseason with big moves, and they dominated games 1 and 2 over Atlanta. Hopefully the Braves can go get game 3 and not let this thing spiral on them.

Very much so! That stadium is first class, and the entertainment areas around the park are things Minute Maid can only dream of right now. Just a fantastic build all the way around. If any club is in planning phases of a new park, they should tour Sun Trust and take notes.

Braves had a chance to add to the pitching staff and really didn't. It's costing them this season. Seems like since the early 2000's the Braves have become very reactionary in their moves.

After blowing game 1 the Braves came back to a nice series win vs Dbacks.

Austin Riley should be making his MLB debut tonight in left. He's been destroying AAA pitching, but has historically started slow at a new level. It will be interesting to see if his momentum carries over, or if he'll need a couple of weeks to adjust. Either way, I'm excited to see him in Atlanta.

Nice. The rotation has been pretty bad lately, especially Gausman. Probably gonna be a few weeks before Keuchel actually pitches in Atlanta though.
Gausman needs to have a solid start tonight, especially with a spot in the rotation needed for DK.
