Hilliard leads off the second with a solo shot.

Acuna follows up with a single, then Olson hits a long, long fly ball that is initially called a foul ball. However, it was clearly fair. Umps review and overturn the call, however, they only give Olson a single and move Acuna to second, even though it would have been an easy double for Olson had they called it correctly on the field. Snitker gets tossed arguing that point. Never seen a manager get tossed in a game he is leading 5-1 in the second inning with no outs, but maybe he had a whisky tasting or something to get to…

Murphy gets Acuna and Olson home on a gapper, making it 7-1 Braves before KC has even had 7 batters.

Will Smith apparently has not lost his ability to shut down the Astros.

That is great news.

It was also nice to see Kyle Wright gain back control of the game today. He struggled in the 3rd inning again, but got out of it and then got back under control. Hope that leads to good things the rest of the season.

Sean Murphy is having one heck of a road trip.

His last 11 hits have all been for extra bases, including a 420+ bomb in the 4th inning to put the Braves up 2-0 over the Padres.

Albies and Olson homers put the game away!

Strider had a couple of walks (one was very questionable, as I felt he got squeezed twice against Soto, both time would have been strike three) and a HBP (98 mph in on Boagerts) but overall he was fantastic. Only a single hit that cane in the 6th inning to go along with 9Ks.

Sure would be nice to go out and get the sweep today!

Pretty tough to only give up 2 runs over 3 games and not come away with the sweep.

One glaring issue that has cost us at least a couple of games this year is hitting with the bases loaded. Certainly cost us this game.

Now on to the Astros.

Braves are playing pretty terrible baseball right now. The bullpen imploded last night and the bats have been trash since game 2 in San Diego

So sick and tired of seeing Ozuna in the lineup. He provides literally nothing with his sub 0.080 batting average. This lets play left on right, right on left is preventing someone like Rosario from getting comfortable to get anything going. All it is doing is giving the crowd an opportunity to boo Ozuna.

Think it is very obvious now why Grissom was sent back to AAA. Of all the injuries, the Arcia one may be the biggest we need to over come.

Olson needs to move down in the lineup. He his not a 2-hole hitter in my opinion. We need someone who strikes out a lot less right behind Acuna.

Yuck. This team is complete garbage right now. Again, don't want to overreact to a relatively meaningless series in April, but wow, the lineup and bullpen have absolutely sucked for 4 straight games. Minter is unplayable right now. Need to get healthy quick.

Strider is perfect through 6 against the Marlins right now.

Murphy, Rosario, and Hilliard have all gone deep, and Hilliard just went deep again for. 6-0 lead.

Riley adds to the home run party to make it 8-0.

Olson has a fielding error in the 7th, costing Strider his perfect game bid. Still has a no-no going to the 8th.

I just stated a fact. Olson is the one who ruined it, blame him.

Ozzie goes deep twice, the last of which followed a Rosario homer. Eddie has went deep in back to back games. Morton goes 7 strong innings, giving up just a single run on three hits.

Braves win 7-4.

Just looking at our last 10 games (2 full rounds through the rotation), which includes the 4 game skid, our starting pitching has given up a total of (12) runs, (6) of which belong to Kyle Wright. That includes (4) outings where the starter gave up no runs and (3) outings where the starter gave up only (1) run.

During the (4) game skid, we were shut out once against San Diego, and the bullpen gave up a late leads twice against the Astros. The bullpen gave up 12 runs against the Astros and all after them came in the 7th inning or later. Give the Astros credit, they did their damage late and were able to come back to get the wins, but it really feels like we just let a couple of those games get away from us with poor defense and poor bullpen work.

Outside of the Astros series, the bullpen has been pretty spot on, only giving up (6) total in the other (7) games, (3) of which came last night, (1) of which came on in-park homer when Pillar sold out to make a catch and just missed it.

Rosario looks like he might be starting to get something going and I hope he stays in the line up. Ozuna is like 2 for his last 47, and is going about 23 ABs or so between hits. He just offers nothing to the lineup right now other than a for sure out. Hilliard needs to stay in the lineup as well until Harris is back. He is making the most of his opportunity to play and it is likely he will regress, but he has filled in nicely. Not sure what to make of Pillar yet, he has had some moments both good and bad. I do like his defense as he has made a couple of solid plays in the outfield.

After going down 4-0 against the Marlin's ace, the Braves mount a comeback by getting 2 in the 6th and 4 in the 8th. Minter gets the save.

Minter strikes again…

Comes in to start the 9th with a 4-0 lead. It is now 4-3, with the tying run at third and the go ahead run at first.

Now losing 5-4 in the 9th.

Minter has just been a complete let down the last week.

Absolutely horrible.

And Adrianza ends the game by watching 5 pitches, 3 of which were in the zone strikes, without swinging once.

We let that one get away.

Then they go down without even putting up a fight. Adrianza watched strikes 2 and 3 go right down the middle. Pretty terrible effort today. Iglesias can't get back soon enough. Minter ain't it.

Braves need to make bullpen moves before the deadline. If they do they'll be fine in Oct

That is single handily responsible for at least 2 of the 4 losses on the home stand.

We were watching and then skies opened up here at home and knocked out power.

Solid top half of the first with a 3 run shot by Murphy. Plus made the Mets opener throw 31 pitches.

Strider had some control issues in the bottom of the first. Threw a lot of pitches but luckily only gave up one run. Hopefully he cleans things up next inning.
